ANWAR Posted June 26, 2006 (born 1952) is a veterinary surgeon and an African Union official; he was relatively unknown in political circles when he was appointed as Prime Minister of Somalia in November 2004. He promised to form an inclusive government, and to strive for reconciliation among Mogadishu's warlords. Mr Ghedi was not linked to any of Somalia's armed groups during the war. He is affiliated to Mogadishu's ****** clan, one of Somalia's two main clans. Ali Mohammed Ghedi is Hawiyes subclan Abgal.
