Emperor Posted November 27, 2007 Puntland Livestock Quarantine and Holding Ground Bossaso, Puntland: Mr. Hassan Khalaf Al Hasani of Gulf International Veterinary Quarantine Management Company (L.L.C.) arrived in Bossaso, Puntland. Mr. Al Hasani was greeted at the Bossaso Airport by the Governor of Bari Region Hon. Muse Gelle and Mr. Omar Ismail Waaberi Chairman of the Somali Livestock and Trading Company (the former Alfurqan Livestock and Trading Company). The Puntland Livestock Quarantine and Holding Ground is a joint venture between the Suleiman S. Al-Jabry Trading Est. Company and the Government of Ras Al-Khaimah. Gulf International Veterinary Quarantine Management Company (L.L.C) was created by the two Joint venture partners with the main task of managing the Puntland Livestock Quarantine and Holding Ground. During his stay in Puntland, Mr. Al Hasani will be meeting with Puntland Government Officials and local business leaders. Mr. Al Hasani will also meet with the engineers at the livestock quarantine construction site and evaluate the progress of the construction work. Emperor Posted November 27, 2007 Reception Held at the Puntland Livestock Quarantine and Holding Ground Saturday, 24-Nov 2007 Bossaso, Puntland: A reception was held at the Puntland Livestock Quarantine and Holding Ground for Mr. Hassan Khalaf Al Hasani of Gulf International Veterinary Quarantine Management Company (L.L.C.). The reception was hosted by the Puntland Government. Puntland Government Officials attending this event include: The Minister of Livestock, Agriculture and Environment, the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Commerce and Industry, the Minister of Health, the Minister of Local Government and Regional Development, Governor of the Bari Region and other Senior Government Officials. Leaders of the Puntland business community including the Chairman of the Puntland Chamber of Commerce Mr. Ali Aleyo and Mr. Omar Ismail Waaberi Chairman of the Somali Livestock and Trading Company (the former Alfurqan Livestock and Trading Company) and Traditional Community Elders also attended this reception. All speakers at the reception spoke about the significance of the livestock sector to the Puntland economy and its impact on the standard of living of the State's citizens. They spoke about the benefits of building an international standard livestock quarantine facility. This livestock quarantine will meet all international standards regarding livestock management. The livestock quarantine will also bring order and fair prices for Puntland livestock. Mr. Al Hasani thanked the Puntland Government for the warm reception. He also thank the Government of Ras Al Khaimah, Mr. Suleiman S. Al-Jabry and the President of Puntland H.E. Mohamud Hersi Musse for all their hard work in bringing this livestock quarantine project to Puntland. Mr. Al Hasani added what was most important was to have peace and security. Once foreign investors see that the livestock quarantine is a success and that Puntland is a safe place to invest, this will attract more foreign investment to Puntland added Mr. al Hasani.
