Ugandan forces to join disarmament operation

[...]Ugandan troops have arrived in Somalia as part of the AU mission to restore peace to the strife-ridden Horn of Africa nation, which has not had a central government since 1991. According the AU peacekeeping mission spokesman, Paddy Ankunda much of Somalia "is now calm with only "pockets of insurgents" in Mogadishu.

 

"We will be getting on the third phase of our mission after setting up our camp for our security and command base, before undertaking patrols and disarmament," he told PANA by telephone on Sunday.

 

Negotiation talks or not the overall message is: Hayeey is ilaaliya yaa shabaab iyo qabiiliste. Waana lii soo socdaa.
