Somaliland to stop chat imports from Ethiopia in two years.

I heard that in two years due to massive plantations in erigavo Somaliland chat imports from Ethiopia are to stop. I heard this from a good friend of mine in Hargaisa. Is this true? Anyone heard of this.

erigavo is semi desert. mountains don't get good rain so this will never work.

and Erigavo district has many farms such as Midhiso , Kulmiye , Midish, Xamas, Cabaydh , Karin Turwaa those areas etc.

 

 

Erigavo has more Annual Rainfall then Hargeysa region or burco.
