Emperor Posted June 12, 2009 Ayoub, my country and your country brother, our country... However, if you mean the south of Somalia, then yes my country has been in war with itself for almost two decades in which foreigners of many kinds took part in the name of peace keeping or aiding one group over the other... and these foreigners, although for most part of the civil war, were not only Ethiopians, but ground forces of Americans, Egyptians, Pakistanis, Nigerians and many other nations and now also Ugandans, Burundi and Rwanda... For that, I am not one of those naive men who argue this is some sort of full fledged invasion of my country, it is Somalis that are fighting and the foreigners are taking sides here, and both groups do have foreign support, let's not delude ourselves from this reality... The opposition groups of Alshabaab and Aweeys have Eritrea and support from other uknown sources, we have said this before, no one took us seriously but many are crying now Eritrea is bad.. We told you so...
AYOUB Posted June 12, 2009 Our country? Not when the likes of you are so blasé with Ethio troops pouring into Guriceel while getting your nickers in a twist with Marian Mursal going to Hargeisa of all places.
Paragon Posted June 12, 2009 ^You'll pay any price for fame of the beloved SL, and Ina Mursal decoded that fact now. She's a clever singer.
Emperor Posted June 12, 2009 Ayout, Ethiopia controls Berbera port, your main source of income... As for Maryan Mursal she's there for business reasons and those making noises sound silly to me... As for whether we are part of the same nation, that's an actual fact and not a topic open for discussion, we are all part of the same country. I can disown you, curse the rest of Somalia and claim to be super, above anyone and different from you being reer Bosaaso who turned a mere tuulo to great city in a decade or so, but that wouldn't change the reality that we, and Bosaaso is still part of the Somali nation. General Duke Posted June 13, 2009 Ethiopian troops deeper into Somalia Heavily-armed Ethiopian soldiers crossed into central Somalia and entered a town controlled by a pro-government militia nearly 30 kilometres from the border, residents said. "They came with battle wagons and trucks all full of soldiers and guns," said Hassan Abdi, a resident in the town of Balanbale in Galgadud region. "Everybody is very worried." Residents said the Ethiopian troops were setting up positions in the centre of the town. Ethiopia sent thousands of troops into Somalia in 2006 to help topple an Islamist movement holding Mogadishu and most of the south. That drew protests from some in the Muslim world and enraged the Islamists, who regrouped to launch an insurgency. The Ethiopian soldiers withdrew in January but residents, insurgents and humanitarian organisations have reported new incursions in the past few months. Addis Ababa initially denied any soldiers had crossed into Somalia but said earlier this month that military personnel had been carrying out "reconnaissance" missions into its neighbour. "Ethiopia has no intention to go back into Somalia. That is the standing position of our government," the Ethiopian government's head of information, Bereket Simon, told Reuters on Friday when asked about reports of new incursions. Advertisement People living in the southwestern Somali region of Bakool, which is controlled by hardline Islamist rebel group al Shabaab, said Ethiopian troops moved into a village called Washaga on Friday and residents were fleeing. "I'm now packed up to leave the village, al Shabaab and the Ethiopians are close to each other and on the verge of fighting," said resident Fatima **** Madey.
