Tough Question Is Somaliland A Dicatorship Or Democracy?

Recommended Posts

osman_nz

This question has bothered me personally for a while, i hear slander say that hargeisa is democracy but i don't see the merit or deeds of such claim.

Firstly how can you claim to be democracy when.

1. 17 years of government you had only two presidents.

2. The first president egal never left office but died in office. He would most likely been a dictator himself if he didn't die unexpectadly.

3. Rayale the second president opposing to hold to elections for a year now.

So 2 presidents in 17 years and the first candidate egal died in office and that was the only reason an election was even held. And lastly rayale grasp on power and denying elections everytime it comes around, not to mention his gangster ministers who are well known moryans from siyad era's.

So the question remains can we honestly call sland a beacon of democracy or really snm gangster regime run by a man from awdal region to disguise their snm rebel agenda.

I think the west need's to review calling this land a democracy because it is anything but further then democracy.

Anyways no hate responses people just attack the issue and don't change the subject like it's going to help, i know all those cheap tactics of avoiding being embarassed.

So respond somalis, should we call this regime of snm gangster a democracy or should we call it a clan fiefdom run by snm butchers..

I personally call it snm regime run by gangsters. :D

Oodweyne, i strictly asked no personal attacks or hate. Just attack the issue not the person. I see you lack any answer and therefore resort to cheap shots to disguise that what i have said was completely factual and u agree with it but u just don't want anyone to know so u resort to the cheap shot insults..sxb those games don't work with me..

Thankful

^^^Dear lad; I do not know whether they have told you so far (even in passing), but it seems to me, that you either seriously belong to a “lunatic asylum”. Or failing that the “toddlers kindergarten” will seriously consider your application to join their outfit.

Very good points my friend, don't mind these guys. Whenever you call them out with facts, they will comment like he just did and try to attack you peronsonally. Accuse you of not being at their calibre of intelligence, they need to attack you rather because they know that when it comes to Riyaale there is ABSOLUTELY nothing they can say to defend him. Of course they like to call President Sharif, Sheik hotel. Or Former President Abdullahi Yusuf, President Yey. But when you call out their leader they need to attack you, it's a topic they can't defend against.

Once Mr. Oodweyne starts speaking about how you don't understand whats going on because you are too young, or that you need to be put in a mental hospital and are just not at his intellectual level. You've pinned him against corner and he feels the need to lash out at you personally, because he can't defended against the facts.

1)The leader they elected, was once the head of the feared NSS, which was part of a regime they said committed war crimes, a reason they say resulted in their decision to break away. (How can they defend against this? Anyone part of the NSS you would think would never be allowed in a new government, forget about the head)

2)He was elected by the ballot, once he achieved power, elections were postponed and the claim was that there was issues with the election commission and registering people. Even though from time he was elected by the ballot he had 4 years to sort this out and it's already been an extra year and still their are problems. How do they defend against this? So he doesn't respond and attacks you, rather then the facts!!! Don't start talking about other leaders and having little nicknames for them, when you have the likes of war criminal Riyaale.

Somaliland had 3 President not 2. And each and everyone of them was elected openly and freely including the last election in which international observers were present and delcare the election free and open.

Abdirahman ahmed ali 'tuur' aun

Mohamed h. Ibrahim Igal aun

Dahir Rayaale Kaahin

and Insha Allah Silaanyo in '09(:

Somaalilife exactly...and bro the amount of incriminating evidences i have learnt on sland is just way to many list. But i will list them in bits here and bits there to show the ppl that maybe calling this place a democracy is in fact truly not possible by any stretch of the imagination.

I hear your argument's and they were totally valid factual point's regarding nss and rayale and vote registration cover up story so he can keep his fat butt cushioned up in the cheap somalia knock off they called presidential palace.

Hannibal puntland obsession? well when u have your cow-worshipping ppl(las geel) going around insulting the federal president and puntland leader..maybe you should ask what's with sland obsession????

As for ur election comments..when egal died they WERE FORCED to hold an open free election, if he didn't die their would've of been no election.

as for the elections of Abdirahman ahmed ali 'tuur' aun, he was elected by elders not an open election same for egal...2003 was the first ever open elections and those first ever open election came about because egal died, if he would've lived it would be an egal dictatorship.

As for rayale he is proving our point of dictatorship..just watch him post-pone the next election he might say he caught "swine flu" this time..
