The failure of the opposition groups:

The failure of the opposition groups:

1. They have no strategy other than violence, lies and naked hunger for loot and property. These groups who have defamed the faith of Islam, sent children on a mission which promised heaven and then ran away from it. Theirs was a world built on quick sand, one based on charcoal, scrap trade and the control of national agricultural lands in the fertile south, airfields such as Bali-doogle and Ceel Macaan port.

2. They brought new tactics of terror into Somali politics, the first time School children were assembled and given guns and sent on a mission that promised heaven. The same heaven their leaders were not so sure off themselves. The first suicide bombings came from this group, the first use of religion to keep looted properties and clan held lands. These groups even beat up and torched fallen Somali soldiers, their supporters kicking them with women singing on the dead corpses. Another clear diversion from traditional Islam and the Somali culture

3. This group failing in the battle field resorted to assassinations of innocent civil servants, members of the police and their actions have resulted in the deaths and displacement of thousands of civilians.

4. They morphed into a clan movement when the fake façade of faith was uncovered. A notorious new leader emerged for them Ahmed Biliqo or Ahmed the looter who claimed to speak on behalf of the resistance and who highlighted that his clan had a right to keep the properties they gained in the war period.

In summary

The opposition are no more than a criminal network hell bent on keeping Somalia without any governance. They use every trick in the book, assignation, and murders in the night, kidnappings and distortion of the truth at every turn. However these groups have a big mountain to climb, for this government has done its home work and now they the hunters will be forever hunted.

By allowing themselves the luxury of being hailed as ‘the-powerful’ the learned Courts forgot themselves. And Allah alone is All Powerful.

-By assuming the title of Islamic Courts when justice was not to be on the agenda for the poor Muslims whose territories were invaded by former killers and ghutra clad thieves.

-By arrogantly breaking promises they made and going back on their word again and again, even though our Deen is built on trust and goodwill.

-By arrogantly appointing themselves as Somalia’s legitimate judges when they themselves had been part of the problem for sixteen long years.

-By arrogantly disdaining the ‘weak’ government and refusing it entry into the capital, as though the capital was the lost property of the Courts alone.

-By disturbing and unsettling the hard earned peace in peaceful areas, and forgetting to their demise, that it was Mogadishu and Mogadishu alone that kept this country apart for so long, and that it was Mogadishu and Mogadishu alone that needed to be tamed.

-By blinding themselves to Mogadishu’s past sins against the nation as a whole, the Courts not only lied to themselves about our recent history but they double crossed our nation.

-Fooling themselves and gullible people around the world into believing that they ‘saved Somalia’, when the opposite was true, and thereby taking credit for something they didn’t do
