Puntland’s dirty Money to sabotage Somaliland Presidential Election

Ilka Jiir is planning to use piracy ransom money against Somaliland, and send terrorists to carry out bombing and killing in major Somaliland cities during the election. His style of attack is identical to that of Al-Qaeda terror organization, and intelligence reports say that Al-Qaeda trained his gang members in southern Somalia on assembling bombs and other explosives. The reports asserted direct relation between Al-Qaeda “Puntland” leadership, to act against Western interests in the region.

 

USA and EU sponsored the expenses of Somaliland Presidential Election, in an attempt to promote democracy in Somaliland, and to respect the desire of the people of Somaliland to adopt democracy during this difficult time. In Somaliland, the decision belongs to the public through the ballots of election. .

 

This says it all, insulting a favorite son of Sanaag and tying him to al-qaa'ida means the seccessionts are more desperate and confused. The one who posted this is even worse.

It's preposterous to make false allegation and character defamation of a honorable, peace loving individual. Ever since he run for the election, he has taken the leadership in peace making endeavors and the strengthening of peace and security in Puntland.

I still remember from the Las Anod takeover when your leaders (not journalists) accused Somaliland of working with Al-Qaida. These accusations goes both sides.

Ilko Jiir is a fine decent man who served his country well in the army and I am sure will do it again if need be. To accuse him a pirate leader is false. It would have been nice if he had won Puntland presidency but he is now interior minister were he can improve many lives for the better. I wish him well
