Somaliland has been hailed as a beacon of stability in the troubled Horn of Africa region since declaring independence from Somalia in 1991.

 

But Al Jazeera's Mohamed Adow, reports that some experts now believe the self-declared republic is at crisis point, as an election row deepens.

Who is to blame. Yes indeed Riyaale is to blame , he and his government failed Somalilanders. To hold fair elections. Lets just hope this New Commission doesn’t take the footsteps of the previous Commission

Not sure yet it’s up to the new Commission to set up a date. According to my sources the election most likely will happen the end of February 2010. That is if this new commission fix the voter registration error.
