Fabregas Posted February 28, 2008 Are Somalis in the Diaspora the gravediggers of the Nation? We cannot stop the agony in Somalia when we face (online) each other with views which are diametrically opposing or contradicting each other. Radical Clan activists, religious fanatics, hard core secessionists, intellectual opportunists in Canada, USA, and England are spear heading political debates and problems of Somalia. http://www.hiiraan.com/op2/2008/feb/are_somalis_in_the_diaspora_the_gravediggers_of_the_nation.aspx
Laba-X Posted February 28, 2008 GJ- Radical Clan activists, religious fanatics, hard core secessionists of the cyberspace are all Afka-noolayaal They can neither fuel/rekindle the war in Somalia nor put it out - Lets admit it, those in the Diaspora have no good beyond afka-hadal bilaash ah. What is more important and the author should have noted is the money transfers that aprt from buildibng the lives of their relatives in Somalia also destroy many others. During the advent of ICU, the vast amount of money sent from London alone could not be estimated - And at first it was all in the name of Qabiil not religion. Somali Websites are full of glorifications or condemnations of ICU, TFG, and Secessionist but what we need is political vision and dedicated intellectuals who are ready to take a long road to make differences in the primitive political debating in Somalia and in the Diaspora. That's all they are - glorifications and condemnations. And that's all they will be!
