Blast near Ghedi's Convoy ,,,,,, narrowly escaped

MOGADISHU, May 17 (Reuters) - A roadside bomb exploded near the convoy of Somali Prime Minister Ali Mohamed Gedi on Thursday as it sped through the Somali capital, but no one was hurt, the government said.

 

"Fortunately no one was hurt. The bomb exploded away from the vehicle. One of two men suspected of planting the bomb was captured on the site," government spokesman Abdullahi Muhyidin Mohamed said by telephone.
