Thus, the economics of racism means how money influences racism and discrimination. Therefore, the motivation for racism for White people is money. Simply White people do not hate, mistreat, and discriminate against Black people merely because they are Black. Is racism and discrimination, a way for White people to exploit money from the Black community? Most people do not understand the underlying reason for racism in America. For the sake of analysis we will review four groups, an understanding of these groups will give us some insight on this problem. The first group, the rich White man is by far the most important. This group is most important to our understanding of this problem, because they control the Economics of Racism. Historically the plight of Blacks in America has presented a picture of economic exploitation. The system of slavery meant Black men, women and children were forced to work for White people for nothing, zero. Thus, the beginning of the slave period for Blacks in America also meant the beginning of the Economics of Racism. Thus, from all legitimate accounts the White man invented racism to justify slavery. The Europeans that enslaved the Black man, woman and child often claimed to be religious. Therefore, if White people could make claims that Black people were heathens and inferior human beings, they could justify slavery. The lie of Black inferiority, the lowly race lie became prominent. They told this lie not because of Black inferiority, but because rich White people had identified a source of free labor. A primary example of the second group, (poor White people) reacting to the big lie was the formation of White supremacists' organizations toward the end of the Civil War. Poor White people sought to destroy any semblance of Blacks moving to gain equal citizenship. As Blacks began to compete with poor White people for jobs in the North and South, Jim Crow came into existence. The poor White man had no choice but to be cast in with Blacks. However, poor White people believed the lie of Black inferiority. Meanwhile, they got steady employment, better wages and the best jobs. Often he carried the banner of blind racism for rich White people because rich White people made the decisions and received the greatest benefits. Poor Blacks, who make up the third group have been tricked like poor White people. While poor White's think they are better, and superior to Blacks because they are White, many poor Blacks think they are inferior to White people because they are Black. Again race is just a means to justify economic exploitation. Poor Blacks accept the big lie. They accept the lie so much that they allow White people to use them against their own people. Thus, we have a vast assortment of Uncle Toms in the Black community. The last group is the most unfortunate. This group of Blacks know what is happening. They know racism is based on money. They know that just like during slavery rich White people do not want the Black community to have anything. The frustrations of the Blacks that know are intensified when confronted with other Blacks that tell the Truth. Meanwhile, Black on Black discrimination is a reality as a group of class conscious Blacks help White people exploit their own people. Copy right by Psyche Publishing 1999, all rights reserved.
