I was witness to the huge turnout, and to the landmark moment when a leading Somali sang with us the national anthem and the song of the blue and white flag.

 

Faroole is a seasoned politician his speech was remarkable in its frankness. He touched on the importance of unity, his personal experince and the role of the Minneapolis and Diaspoar population towards Puntland and Somalia.

 

I was in near tears as the anthem was sung by the whole audiance.
