miles-militis Posted May 15, 2004 Sareeda - Sweltering hot for a few months of the annum during the day it might be, but air conditioning, which most facilities that cater for humpy-dumpy, comfy-inured-to punch like myself are to be had; it is indeed a therapeutic stroke on a doctor’s prescription note for anyone prone to ailments associated with lax in bodily perspiration – check couch-potato expats in northAmerica and Europe. Nowhere near Jeddah though; and indeed less stern than Erigavo, Jibouti and Berbera all of which could blind an old geezer with the scorching sun rays. At night it is a story of a different kind. Hey, pack the sun lotion, do not forget the sunshades, and you might relish the thought – 101 induction from the locals upon arrival might be in order. Nonetheless, it shall be a worldly experience, Best of luck, Cheers.

BN Posted May 17, 2004 Samurai, Thanks for this post. Its very uplifting to see substantive improvements in Somalia,--such as this health care facility. As always, I enjoy your posts. Keep it up. Sareeda, I checked out the weather for Somali cities, and it seems Somalia itself is very hot.... All the cities(including Bosaso, Mogadishu, and Hargeisa) are between 30-35 degrees celcius. Those are "high's". But good luck on your trip, if you decide to go. Somalia Weather
