Armchair Politician Posted April 1, 2008 Who is in charge of Buuhoodle at the moment? Somaliland, Puntland, pro-Somaliland militia, anti-Somaliland militia, noone/locals? This is the only town in the north that I think might not even know themselves.
Sabriye amp co. Posted April 1, 2008 Arm chair... If Somaliland have stmped their authority on Lascaanood wich is way closer to puntland... what makes you think Buuhoodle is worth questioning? It's clear that the locals have chosen to be part of a Semi nation rathern then a clan theifdom.
Thankful Posted April 2, 2008 The reason Somaliland hasn't been offically recognized by a single country is because they are a clan state and are dominated by one tribe who calls all the shots. Lets look at the make of your ministers and parliament lol. Armchair, when Riyaale ventured into Lascaanod he was chased away within hours, then they lost control for 5 years. All of a sudden they have it for 5 months and act as if they have had it secure since day one. Area's like LA/Buuhoodle will take money from both sides but take orders from neither. Naxar Nugaaleed Posted April 2, 2008 if the Somali flag flies over this city, why on earth would s-landers claim it. truth be told, in the SS(or maakhir)C regions, Somaliland controls the City of Ceerigaabo, the district of Caynabo. The City of of Las anod is controlled by pro S-land militia.

Other than the fact that Boocane is controlled by Puntland, or at least pro-Puntland forces, Sool seems particularily unclear in this regard. For instance, what of Buuhoodle, Widh-Widh, Taleex and Xudun?
Jacaylbaro Posted April 2, 2008 confused huh ??? ,,,,,
Naxar Nugaaleed Posted April 2, 2008 xudun, the district capital has few thousand and if ever there was a war, that is the last place s-landers would attempt (three thousand Afxakames). Widhwihd is part of cayn region which is very hostile to somaliland and the only administrators are at the very least in the puntland civil service payroll. Taleex, former headquarters, is also way beyond their reach. Boocaame is just south of las anod but is controlled by puntland and tuka raq is were puntland forces are. basically, the militia stationed around tuka raq, along with some of puntland "darwiish" forces are the people of xudun and taleex district. the division is in in the district of las anod and caynaba were you have people for "darwiishland" puntland, Somaliland and even some who want to be a region in "Somaliweyn". In ceerigaabo city, their was, after long peace process between the four clans that live in that city, two belonging to Somaliland and two belonging to Puntland. both have violated the agreement which they call "the agreement of four" to be basically neutral. Worse then Las Anod, you will find in that city secessionist, federalist (darwiishlanders, maakhirites and puntlanders) and irredentist (Somaliweyn) communities and Unionist, or the "sanaag is a region of the Somali republic" people.
