It seems old, because it is an issue that happened a while ago. You think the government website of Garoweonline would be spending more time trying to apprehend the killers of his minister rather then bringing up this ICG report over and over again.

It was drafted by this professor, so you know Faroole's son's who own Garoweonline filled in the blanks. To ensure they gave a spin that made their father look good. For instance:

Faroole's sons are very clever when they use the media. They have a website they project as independent from the government. Which anyone would know is impossible if your father is the president. They also post articles that were "drafted" by a professor in America responding to the ICG.

 

If any other Puntland leader had sons with a website that made them look good, people would ignore it. Although you can't compare the two, but think if Obama's sister or Bush's daughters had news wesbsites? What i'm getting at is that at the very least, remember whatever content Garoweonline is reporting will make their father Faroole look good and they have clever way of disguising it.

The good doctor, Mr. Weinstein, seems always to have the problems and where they originate from figured out. He also like to criticize those who bravely offer the solutions. He hardly, laakiinse, offers any solutions of his own on the protracted problems he continuously cites again and again in his reports about Soomaaliya.

 

I can understand he doesn't want to be part of the intricate problem, though that would make him being part of the problem he routinely comments about, a talking head who is scholarly benefiting from the Soomaali political problems. Or worse, an uninitiated outsider, a naive one at that.
