VOA Article Portrays Wrong Picture, Appeases Terrorist in Puntland

Recommended Posts

Thanks walaal duke, the voa report quoting a Norwegian man is quite bizarre to say the least when we know that the people he carelessly mentioned their names and falsely accused is quite unethical misinforming and catering to the wrong sort of crowds who made it a habit in hiding their faces and blowing themselves up.

This sort of ignorant, vile and hate filled reporting can only be described to have a greater political purpose of higher calibre but what they failed is from the angle they attacked it and now it seems that they absurdness has come to the surface in a funny but tragic manner.

Yarbarow and the VOA did a hell of a good job for missportraying and quite frankly lying about the issue. It's quite buffling the way some people go to fulfill their mischiefious schemes that will surly come back to them as it did with Yusuf Garad and the people he used to advertise.

This quick and swift press release is to the point and makes a solid statement to the mockery of reporting by the Voa.

Can the Islaan (tribal chief) of Northern Galka'ayo override the authority of the Islaan of Garoowe? In other words, is the Islan of Galka'yo more knowledgeable of the political environment and rivalry that exist among communities in Garowe environs than the Islan of Garowe himself? or you prefer to peddle lies.

Garaad Saxardiid who is from Galgala and western Bari region have already spoken out against the injustice of Puntland and the resource conflict.

Read this BBC Interview with Garaad Sahardiid of Western Bari

Hard to suppress the resource conflict of the region....

Thankful

Nassir,

If this is resource driven then it would be just! Explain to me why you cannot produce one single image of Atam? Surely what he is doing is not criminal in your eyes?

Please answer why you refuse to show us what he looks like!

Who is Garad Saxardiid? :D Nassir poor lad, you must thing that we are ignorant or lack understanding, to compare a simple spokesperson to the Garad is pathetic and desperate on your part. If you listen to the audio interview the Garad mentions all the elders of that sub clan by name and their position including his cousin the Suldan. Now go off and make up a story or two about the great city of Gold under the hills of Galgala. :D

Duke is right since when did the local caaqil from Galgala became a Garaad? Isn't Caaqil Saxardiid a mere senior Elder? Since when did he became a Garaad?

Som@li what are you on about?

Explain to me why this article never gave a Puntland government official a chance to speak? If this is the VOA why would the write something about a government without interviewing a single person from that government? I have never read an article that only gave one side of the story.

So please don't try and make this garbage article out to be fair.

^Why did you assume the writer didn't try to talk to Puntland Government officials?

It is Puntland who does not want anyone to know what is really going on in Bosaaso/Galgala. Qarnigee lagu jiraa? Do you thinking hiding the truth and silencing the media will work at this age?

Warbaahintii gudaha oo dhan markii Puntland cabudhisay, baad hadana rabtaa in Warbaahinta aduunka wax idinka sheegin lagana hadlin, Qabyaalda, Musuqmaasaqa, Nadaam Xumida, Cadalaada dara ka jirta Puntland.

Qabyaaladi waata indhaha ka riday Soomaali, Bahasha ka ducayso, iskana kala yaree, waan arkaa oo mid ka bogsan og uma ekide. smile.gif

Is that the best you can come up with? How do I know they didn't try? Well media outlets will say something along the lines of "we tried to get hold of someone from the Puntland government but our calls were not responded to." This VOA article does not say anything at all like this!

This article used only information that focused on one view point. That is why they never included the government, because it would have obviously defended its actions by showing who led the Gagala offensive and the community leaders in charge.

No one is trying to influence international media, we are just saying ateast include both sides of the issue in your piece.

You have to admit the article should have let the Puntland government state their position.

This article is the best hope some have of causing pain to the state, it's like a decade ago when the BBC had an article about "two Lesbians on trail" in Bosaso. The story was fiction but it was on the BBC English service and there demo's held to free the non existent two ladies.

Thus even the biggest media outlets can make a big gaff. This is just like that.
