Second, the article appears to be advocating for the United States to appease the Al-Shabab and warns of drastic actions if the United States assists Puntland in its effort to deny Al-Qaeda and her affiliates to establish a safe heaven in its territory. Quoting an unknown Somalia observer based in Norway, Ms. Ryu writes“ The danger is…you could act in a way that could mobilize the ********** to the Shabab side.” The ********** are at the forefront of the war against Al-Shabab which is locally led by the internationally sanctioned, self-confessed terrorist Mohamed Said “Atom”, and the false prediction that a robust United States engagement with Puntland on counterterrorism may spur the ********** to join the Al-Shabab is absurd. It might be instructive to note that the ********** did not extend any assistance, in any way to “Atom” and his terrorist compatriots whilst they fully supported the government’s operations to cleanse the latter from their hideout in Galgala.

The Puntland Press release was so clear in highlighting that there is no clan hatred, animosity or even conflict between the united people of Puntland.

 

It sent a strong and no nonsense message to those who live on lies and hate progress

 

The secondary evidence of audio interview of Garad C/llahi, and the Minsiters among the people will add to the thread in order to hamar home the point that there is no clan animosity and the desperate Yabarow and his ilk need to calm down.

 

Be assured one has no time for those who live and work tirelessly to fuel clan animosity and engender hatred between peaceful kin. For they have already lost.

How do you see this as balanced? Do you even know what the term means? When media is balanced they give both sides of an issue proper representation. The VOA article talks about the Puntland government but doesn't have a single person speaking on behalf of it. You call that balanced?

Indeed, peace is a valuable thing. There is nothing but peace and love between all the people of Puntland. Politicians can make mistakes, but to say there is hatred between whole communities who share everything is false to say the least.
