SOO MAAL Posted March 17, 2005 Great stuff Despite the issue "should troops from frontline states deployed inside somalia is a debateable point" Whats amazing is the democratic process thats taking place in Nairobi (the fighting is a minor issue). Warlords are learning how to talk and debate intead of bullets!!! Although ,the new parliement has low quality, but more democratic and better than all somali parliements in the past and present like Golayaasha sacabka of former siyad berreregime or the current somaliland regime. although, Most mogadisho warlords are backed by Ethoipia, they made good decision by rejecting ethoipian troops (thats the only correct decision they ever made, though they didnot intended to disappoint thier longtime ally ethoipia) President Abdulaahi Yusuf should put out of his mind bringing Ethoipian troops to Somalia. Who can say that somali MPs are hand picked by ethoipia or another foreign power? Now we can be confident of the somali peace process thats its owned by somalis themselves

Liqaye Posted March 18, 2005 ^^^ Have as many votes as you would like, the fact of the matter is that the motion was only had 55 votes. It makes clear that inspite of the support that many of these men engoy from the ethiopians and the fact that this goverment has so undiplomaticaly given it self over to the cultivation of the ethiopians, that a mesure should be so un-popular and downright wrong that in a vote of aclamation, with all the opportunites for bribery and intimidation that entails. The goverment could only get 55 votes. Will nothing else show Yusuf's minons that the is no way Xamar will be policed by the ethiopians, or that indeed the people of Xamar will not fight over this issue. Something I believe was the whole point of the excercise.
