Xabashadda came to our xaafad -- which includes our house and is next to Isgoyska Bakaaraha -- and go'doon ku sameyeen today. Sieging and literally shooting whoever and whomever they see in sight. Dad biyihii laga jaray, korontadiina laga gooye, of course will come out eventually.

 

My brother placed a few calls in early this evening, influencing the so-called Xabashi puppet leaders to give a safe passage to our father and the few remaining who are staying with him. They did. They are, as I am writing this, sending their moooryaan military convoy to escort him out. [i have to say this, I would never appreciate those moooryaans ummadda kale xasuuqaayo, even if they are doing my family a favour.]

 

I am, however, afraid to those less fortunate. To those aan loo naxariisan, haba yaratee naxariis bini'aadenimo iyo mid Islaanima aan loogu meel yeelin, iskaba dhaaf mid Soomaalinimo. I am very, very afraid to those xasuuqa kusoo socoto the next few days and weeks to come that live in that xaafad.

 

Xabashi will leave tomorrow, but I wonder how, ever, will those who have worked on their behalf will ever get sleep in a clean conscience at night, if they can even sleep at all without an apprehensive fear.

Are you sure inaan tanoo kale lasheegin? the Amxaaros are outsiders and a long standing arch enemy, their actions perhaps are understandable. The TFG and the African peace keeping troops are doing every effort to tame Mogadishu, they are only targeting the crimal networks and those killer looter inc. It is naive that you, of all people had to come up with the term genoside, had this been about genoside then the said TFG and it's allies are more powerful in terms of weaponry, better equiped logistically and have well trained officers hence we would have witnessed a much bigger picture larger scale than the genoside of the Somali against the Somalis. That is not the case, on the contrary the perpetrators and those responsible of the worst genoside ever witnessed have been weakened, targeted and their networks destroyed. The government have always stressed the importance of wining hearts and minds and showed solidarity with the people but on the other hand have dealt strongly with the likes of Inda'ade, A. It looks as though the ‘what about the anarchy of the past 16 years’ has become a get out clause for the TFG lovers association. Missing the point or indeed the bigger picture has become a sport they are champions at. As an individual who has no family living in Mogadishu(not since last year) this news cuts deep and there are many like me; ex. my grandfather who burried his wife(My grandmother,natural death) months ago in Galkacyo,Somalia is not allowed to watch Al Jazeera or Univ-TV because the news literally makes him sick and he starts to shake in anger which is bad for his health

I don't think he particularly cares for his clan. He caused bloodshed when he refused to step in Puntland and when Bargaal(Puntland) was bombed the PL authority and their sympathisers hailed this as a defeat against terrorism.

I don't think those things are unexpected from a dictator, after all that is what dictators do. I am sorry about geerida ayeeydaa. And your awoowe is not alone about completely avoiding the news. Most elders do that. It depresses them more than we, because they have experienced and lived in the best generation Soomaalis had ever seen -- in 1960s. My father as well used to listen BBC Soomaali service and the Carabi service. But he had stopped some six years ago and really, really does not like to discuss Soomaali current events any more with anyone.
