Wisdom_Seeker Posted February 7, 2007 Naxar, I don’t remember saying the international world should fed the somali people. I expect this so called government to do that job.
Naxar Nugaaleed Posted February 7, 2007 This reminds me of a speech the president gave in Baidaba about how aid donors run to our country when their there is rain with their grain but do nothing when there is no rain and how this cuases people to rely on hand outs instead of being encouraged to farm when there is rain and using those produce when there is no rain. Liibaan Posted February 7, 2007 JB, Your are right what Somali people need first is peace and security, because can work Somali people inside Somalia have better living standards then many African countries, but the major problem that Somali people is that their country is lawless and insecure The reason that Puntland and Somaliland are doing better is because of the relative peace NOT food storages, while Mogashu was out of control and in chaos for the last 16 years. Although ICU was the first group to bring some semblance of order to Mogadishu, but then they quickly become very aggressive and hostile to other southern Somali regions, and even Somaliland and puntland. ICU waged a war to take over many peaceful Somali cities, and attacked the base of the Somali government Baydhbo. The passport program is a an excellent step forward, if the Somali passport is becomes guanine and secure from counterfeiting , Somali people will not need to carry foreign passports. Som@li Posted February 7, 2007 E-food is on the way! The government should concentrate more on feeding pple than providing passports!
N.O.R.F Posted February 7, 2007 How much fertile land is there in Somlia? I would say an area bigger than Switserland. Where are the plans for agriculture and self sufficiency? I can buy a passport no need for a new centre!

Jaylaani Posted February 7, 2007 How much is the passport in Garoowe today? This is a new business opportunity for the local document dealers. BTW, why garoowe? What happen to the "capital"? misa waraaqaha reera gooniyaa somastay since all the TFG supporters are from one group of people.
Taako Man Posted February 7, 2007 ^ It's a regional effort. Garoowe is the capital of Puntland and hence should be it's first distribution centre in Puntland. Similar to Kismaayo in jubbaland and baidoa in bay bakool regions. In the past everything was distributed in Xamar. Mashallah we don't need just Xamar to thrive in Somalia. We need all cities, towns, and villages to thrive and have the same opurtunities as the "BIG CITY"
