N.O.R.F Posted May 30, 2007 Somalia government to delay the reconciliation convention Aweys Osman Yusuf Mogadishu 30, May.07 ( Sh.M.Network) The Somali government revealed yesterday that it might be possible to delay the upcoming national reconciliation conference for the third time. Somalia interior minister, Mohammed Mohamoud Gamo Dheere, said because of lack of enough funding for the reconciliation conference, there might come the possibility of postponing it once again, according to the Arabic Asharqalawsat based in Britain. He said the Arab world and international community should be put their shoulder to the wheels to enable the transitional government to hold the conference. “Without an international assistance, Somalia can not establish a reconciliation process,” he said. The minister reiterated that the delay would not be caused by the current security situation in the capital where the conference is supposed to be held. “In accordance with security, I believe the government can handle but it is lack of finance that may spark the encumbering,” he said. He urged the Arab countries to appoint their ambassadors to Somalia. “Because we need to figure out how the Arab courtiers were determined to play positive roles in resolving the crises in Somalia,” he said. Several bomb attacks have been launched on Somalia and foreign troops in the country since the Ethiopian backed interim government seized Islamic insurgents’ strongholds in north of the capital late last month. Castro Posted May 30, 2007 Blame it on lack of funding or lack of attendants the fact remains no decent Somali wants to be associated with this pariah of a puppet regime. Let's see how the propaganda peddlers of this site will spin this.
N.O.R.F Posted May 30, 2007 ^^Saxib. They are simply being instructed what to say and when to say it. The Ethios are instructing the TFG to use the funding line and needing help with the conference. No funding is needed (apart from renting the place). People just have to turn up yet they ask for millions to fund it! Ethios dont want it to happen 'just yet'. Its as simple as that. Castro Posted May 30, 2007 You hit the nail on the head. Only when master Meles is ready will this conference proceed. May be he's waiting on Yeey to die of old age and Dheere to be killed so he can have Geedi all to himself. LOL.
