Don't be silly, and calm down. Wont they rather hope to be neighbours with a stable region of Somalia?

Macno Yare is back and the article was posted in 2008. Since then Puntland elected a new leader, the fourth in 12 years and the leader who lost accepted the results. Actually Puntland is stronger today notwithstanding the shabaab trying to establish a base which is being reversed as we speak.

Speaking too soon, aren't you? People who are used to peace don't go out of their way to seek war, devolution or destruction, saaxib. I bet all that you own that they'll find a way around these problems. I also bet that Faroole wont last.

It seems with the monthly proclamations of mini-fiefdoms (which are actually on the ground as opposed to being formed in diaspora capitals) that the devolution has picked up steam in recent months - with the proclamation of Raas Caseyr, West Puntland, the announcements of previously pro-Puntland Makhiri and Sool communities that they no longer come under Puntland but rather stand as separate Federal States under the TFG (Khaatumo and Makhir).

Ngonge,

It seems Faroole has lasted and continues to thrive in his personal projects for his family...

Mintid,

Don't celebrate too soon. The prediction was in 2008 and now we are in 2012 and you have to add more phony non existent mini states such as Ras Casayer or West Puntland State. You have taken a position without merit and are trying to find facts to fit your ideology.

Khaatumo state of Somalia is more of a daggar in the heart of secession of Somaliland. than a threat to Puntland. The foolish war Silaanyo is waging against the people of Buuhoodle guarantees that the D block will never be part of secession.

When oil started to follow, insha Allah, even you with so much hatred are welcome to share and that is how Puntland will bring Somalis together. :)

Macno Yare and the rest of secessionist brothers are still praying for Somalia's down fall. Somalia's misery of the last twenty years, it seems, have not been enough of a case to buttress the illusive recognition in the international platforms.

^ it's sad really, sometimes i feel like Somalis don't deserve any land...maybe we should give it to the Palestinians.

^ Listen if you find the need to highlight/bolden certain phrases & definitions for our small uneducated minds, why not go all out & dumb down all your posts, in their entirety? You are not writing an essay adeer nor is it a thesis, it's merely a forum to converse with your average Somali.

Puntland has its challenges for sure and the creation of six body stakeholders committe to steer the ship of state (within four months) has many clans preoccupied. That tidbit is true. What's not true is that the confusion the Roadmap injected in the clan-based Somali politik is sufficient to bring the house of PL down. The only game changer in town is Khatumo State. Kahtumo is taking control over an area designated as a "disputed" area. In that sense, Khatumo State creates political problems in Hargeisa than it does in Garowe for it poses a fundamental challenge to the secession project in a way no other Somali constituent can...
