What does Galgaduud has that Hiiraan, Jubba and Banadir lack

Recommended Posts

I for one have no idea but am just wondering if anyone here has better understanding as to why galgaduud defeats the shababs every time but other regions continue to struggle to free themselves of these terrorist.

Dhiig Geel-Jire.

When you go up North from Beledweyne you come in the historic region of Mudug (Galgaduud-Mudug) which is known for the fierce, independent, free and stubborn Nomads (Geel-jire) that settle in that barren land and would fight to the death for a couple of stones on the ground.

Mudug is a region that has shaped Somalia, more than 5 of the SYL men came from there. Most influential leaders of Somalia came from Mudug. During the Somali Civil War all Somali people were saying that the problem of Somalia is Mugdi Mudug.

Back in 2004 to 2008, two subclans (CabdiQabdiids subclan and that of Gelinsoor/Cadaado) were fighting to the death for some desert-towns. The two populations of the two subclans were all electrified by the conflict and the Diaspora was sending money back home like there is no tommorow.

That alone shows that Mudug is a region where two brothers would fight to the death for their honour.

The extremists have lost 100s of men in Guriceel, Dhusomareeb, CeelBuur, Maxaas, Waxbo etc.

The funny thing: The extremists have already difficulties with entering the Southern gate of Mudug: Galgaduud.

Mudug has played a key role in the creation and destrion of Somalia. In the near future it will play a keyrole in the resurrection of Somalia as it has proven to be a bufferzone against extremist warlords with their foreign ideology imported from Afganistan/Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

PS: When you analyze the demography of Mudug you can not help but to notice the fact that the multiple subclans that settle in that region play a dominant role within their respective overal clan-family.

UZTAAD

there are several factors which helped the victory of ahlu sunnah galgaduud.

1. Sufi scholars who are under threat of alshaab expansion , mobilized their followers to take the arms and defend their land from the aggressive and unreasonable alshabab who want eliminate sufis from Somalian because they see them as non believers

alshabaab only accepts wahabiya sect which is the only accaptable sect to the shabaab.

sufis who the majority of the somalis follow has no future in shabaab controlled Somalia , so they have to fight for their survival.

2. local clans are with the ahlu sunnah forces

3.they receive considerable support from ethiopia,in puntland and the world.

you cant compare a dead desert to urban city banaadir, baladweyne or jungle towns jubba and shabeele . scondly when figthing in desert the fight cant last more then 2 days cuz of hot weather and lack of water. rememeber a person cant last whitout water for 5 days ad that to hot weather of mudug and membe closest cel is 5km. anyways when figthing urban walfara or jungle warfare thier is a reason why they are called urban, jungle warfare.specially the jungle warfare is the hardest one. just google jowhar, afgoye, baardheere, or any city in the south. image fighting in paradise. where everthing you need its in your hand. thats is why you dont see figths that go on for days in the hot desert of mudug.simply people cant figth more then 2 days one group has to withdraw to the ceel.lool

the to topic starter i would like advise you to try Russian roulette only then you would gett a answer to your dilemme. when figthing in hot desert of mudug if a shot is fired it will hid somebody unlike a urban walfare where 90 of 100% it will hid a wall.

^ Defense wise, urban warfare is much more difficult then an open place

Some people are also pointing to outside support or ethiopia, ladies and gents, the same can be said about every region of of somalia and the reality is it probably receives much, much less then the rest.

LOOL The Ahlul Sunna are highly motivated ruthless fanatics. Alshabab sent in light assault team against a group willing to die for what it believes(khuraafad), and it proved to be a grave mistake. They keep throwing men at AS til they win the battle. Next time, highly mobilized force should be sent there with a clear battleplan, so if counterattack came , alshabab would be ready to handle it. Instead of frontal blitzkrieg attack I would suggest flanking these guys from two directions, followed by carefully coordinated frontal assault to throw them out for good. Ahlul Sunna wal Khurafaad are highly motivated suicidal bunch, make no mistake. And that is the worst kinda enemy you wanna deal with. So unless Alshabab is ready to commit large force to take this place, then it's not worth the risk at all.

^^^Moonlight,

Alshabab are no nonsense peace makers. They strike their enemies(warlords and foreign ideologists), throw them out and bring peace. This strict policy has made every province peaceful under their authority. Despite what you hear on the constant PR bombardement here, Alshabab are pretty much the best thing that has happened to Somalia post Stat'e collapse. Who ended the warlords reign of terror among the civilian populations? AS off course. Who defeated the seemingly invincible xabashi war machine while many like Sh. Hotel and others were cowering in Asmara and else where? who made them scramble for the exit? Alshabab did indeed. Observe Kismaayo, Merka as true example of policy of the Youth movement. As a result, life is normal in those areas, and the crime rate has dipped down dramatically. I'm sure that same policy will work else where.

Those Ahlul Sunna wal Khurafaad are fanatics, becuase of their unfounded interpetations of the Islamic sharica. Holding hands and singing some shit..lool what book or hadith do they base they base their beliefs on?

The real Muslims are Alshabb in my book and God willingly they will take over Somalia, Somaliland and rule. If these westernized liberal wannabe Somalis isnsit of resisting the real way of life, Islam while embracing Democracy, socialism, and every other ism whom are all imperfect systems, then that is their lose. They will forever be mental slaves of man made systems while ignoring the define truth, which is Islam(I'm sure I don't have to explain this to a real Muslim).
