In a very short space of time Somali premier Ali Mohamed Geedi has come a long way. He has played a deft hand in dealing with the parasite warlord’s of Mogadishu. He has given them important and prestigious positions in the cabinet. He raised their profiles and reassured the Somali’s that these characters have gained what they always wanted and fought for.

“Arafat never loses an opportunity to lose an opportunity†Abba Ebban

The Mogadishu warlords have again shown their incompetence and the totall lack of understanding of the new realities which they find themselves in. They have cried out loud forced their subjects to march and demonstrate their wailing has been amplified by the media notably the BBC Somali service.

Yet in an attempt to hide their true intention, they chose to champion the singular issue of the exclusion of front line troops. This considering the animosity Somali’s have towards these states notably Ethiopia, yet it has proven to be an uphill struggle for they[warlords] lacked the support in both Parliament and Cabinet in which the Premier has a substantial advantage.

Subsequently they not only did they lose their mask of respectability and claim of supporting the national agenda was proven false, their actions also highlighted their collaborators within the parliament notably the speaker Shariff Shiekh Hasan.

All the while Premier Geedi has had the time to put important matters into place and shore up his support base. His government has managed to keep friendly Ethiopia and the other countries that make up IGAD on board while gaining the support of the important Arab nations notably Egypt, Libyan and the rich Gulf nations. .

Geedi has also chosen rightly the cities of Baidoa and Jowhar as temporary homes for the TFG. This decision has put further pressure on the warlord’s and their vocal opposition to it, will lose them the few gullible individuals who joined them on the bandwagon of “Stop Amxara†campaign.

The Mogadishu warlords are a cowardly bunch who will only reason when they face against a greater power. The decision the government has made so far have marganilised them and given the government the time to prepare.

“We wont go to Jowhar & Baidoa†means they have realised that Geedi is serious and is not for turning. I hope they come around before they find themselves humbled behind bars.

Good one, it is only a matter of time since we see a real change, After all they seem to have already lost the ball, No one dare say I fight the government. They know what is coming and thats why Fear is spread all around.

Ghedi was clever enough not to give them any excuse as they had no good share in his government and I believe thats why his government consists of many warlords, but now waa in shaqo laga qabtaa and Our Prof.'s patience has run out and his case closed.

I eagerly await for the events

qorsheel i think the best weapon against these warlords is to never give them any excuse to oppose the tfg. that means a lot of maneuvring of setting up an 'office' in muqdisho, no ethiopians but yes to their logistical and financial support etc. we have to play a game with these saboteurs, com'on it cant be that hard if you see yalaxow?
