Mogadishu (Sunatimes) Mustafa Khalil Abdulahi who is the son of Somaliland's minister of religion and Awqaf has been appointed to be the commander of Abu-Muhsin brigade which belongs to Al-Shabaab militant group and recently completed a military training course in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, official sources told Sunatimes on Tuesday.

 

Khalil 22 age, told his brigade of Al-Shabaab militias that his father had advised him to participate the Islami Jihad in Southern Somalia and then decided to join the insurgency in Mogadishu nine months ago.

 

"I came here to stand by my uncle Ahmed Godane Abu-Zubeyr. I was born in Hargeysa and I am fighting in Mogadishu which I had not seen before. this happened for Allaha's willing and my honesty based on how the Mujahideens would liberate the enemy of Allah out of the country." said Khalil.

 

Somaliland minister of religion and Awqaf Sheik Khalil Abdulahi told Sunatimes.com on the phone that his son Mustafa crossed into southern Somalia but denied he had sent him to join the war in southern Somalia. "My son knew nothing about the religion and I could not convince him to learn it." he added.

Ibti, its simply not good enough to say that "SL is not in bed with the shabaabs" and leave it at that. AS you know, the job of the speculators is to speculate and simply put, your job is to vigorously challenge their assertions.

 

 

Speaking of the enclave, do you deny that silaanyo is the crime boss of the family?

 

All in all, speculators may give Silanyo "too much credit" but you are not giving him nearly enough credit and its because of that Silanyo will have the last laugh.

Ibti Adeer, one can not deny the fact that the two top Somali leaders of Al Shabaab are from Hargaysa's clans and that allot ofthe new recruits are from the traingle, this is not speculation it's a fact. As for Somaliland admin funding Al Shabaab, well it's only a question and truth at times is stranger than fiction.

There is a difference between SL admin or government funding Al shabab AND people who are from SL fighting on behalf of Al shabab. Once you understand that difference you would save yourself some headache.

 

Al shabab is an ideology which anyone regardless of where they live can buy into. That is different to saying it is funded by the state. If 200 WHITe British guys were fighting for Al shabab, it does not mean UK is a supporter.

 

Dadku iqtiyar buu leeyhey to pick their own system to follow, if I told my family I'm joining and packed up and left for Moqdisho today, they won't like it, but there is not much they can do.

 

Lazy I will vigorously challenge assertions that need to be challenged, this one is not even worth been called an assertion.

 

I would be more interested in finding out why it is that young Somaliland lads are being drawn into Al shabab iyo wax waxba uga shan iyo toonab aheyn. It probably now falls on the state and Silanyo to provide education and deep rooted Islamic education but also jobs, so that bored uneducated young boys are not brainwashed so easily- I don't think this will happen though because of budgeting and priority reasons. UK is still struggling to put in place such system without success let alone an unrecognised, limited funded government.

^^ Not wrongly. Silaanyo is the mastermind behind our great southern infiltration. I am going to share a secret with you here but I want you to promise me not share it with anyone else (people's lives will be at stake).

 

You see, for the past four years the Kulmiye high command have been planning for the day when they take power in SL and work towards creating an Islamist Unionist country under the rule of Hijjat-UL-Islam, president sheikh Ahmad M M Silaanyo.

 

The first step was accomplished in 2006. The Kulmiye leadership saw a loophole in the Islamic Courts Union, err, UNION and decided to plant its own funded group in there. As the days went by, the group became more militant and the Courts union collapsed. Today, the group control large parts of Somalia and communicate with the high command in Hargeisa through coded phone calls to the Universal TV 'Maxay Kula Tahay' program show.

 

SL is a confirmed democratic country. It has its own flag, elected parliament/president and, now, it even meddles in the affairs of foreign countries. Adeer naga daa dee; duushay.
