contraflow Posted April 7, 2005 looks like its time for everyone to take a stance...like Bush put it you're either with us or against us... i'm still surprised that the sudden role of father figure that A/Y is playing with Hussien Aideed....hasn't yet come to an end

Your previous argument was that they wont go at all, now you have narrowed it down to diminishing the actual number of MP's and undermining their mission. Saxiib ya isgarey weli, calacal waku dhiman yahey ee wax reebo yesan ka dhaman. I wonder what your excuse will be on Saturday. The leadership of your adeero is crumbling and evaporating right infront of your eyes it cant be attributed to no one except his attitude and mismanagement. The 'Mudanayaals' whom you so arrogantly and ignorantly call 'scrap-merchants' are in Nairobi you dont need to fear them. But fear the numerous other MP's who are dismayed and lost hope in Yeey and his style of leadership. Fortunately they are not going to sit around and wait while 'Beerlawe' goes around capital cities with his begging bowl. And 'read my lips' there is no government that is going to function nor come to existance unless it centres from and has its basis in Xamar anything other thant that will be in exile,a non-starter and ,like you Duke, a waste. Xoogsade Posted April 8, 2005 If A/Y goes to another town for temporary base, kolleyba Xamar shaqaa laga qaban lahaa right? So what is the fuss and all these criticism? What do you think if all officials from the president down to parliamentarians stay in another town while there is no one in mogadishu? What kind of message will that send to the people who reside in that town? That they are left out of the process? That the government isn't for them? There should be a compromise. A/Y can go to what town he pleases in, he and those like-minded officials who can't or don't want to come to Xamar untill they deem it safe. For the rest, they are responsible for making the town conducive for government business. I hope these officials who went there act on their promises and clean house. People welcomed them by the thousands which is a good omen. It is so silly to criticize people for doing what they are expected to do anyway, come clean their house. If every action people take is dealt with as if A/Y was disobeyed, man, that REALLY SUC-KS.
General Duke Posted April 8, 2005 Juma, going to Xamar to see the family, visit friends or for a break from Nairobi is not the point at all. Going for government business, or as a mesaage to the President/PM requires a large number a figure of upwards 138 MP’s. Warlords, resentful politicians and so called intellectuals have been trying to pump us with “hot air†and use the issue of frontline troops and Mogadishu as a way of derailing the peace process and destroying the government. Xoogsade, the decision to relocate and to where is up to the cabinet and it has decided that Jowhar and Baidoa are the chosen cities. Mogadishu as you can appreciate will take a little bit longer. What message it sends depends, to me it sends a message of caution preparation and foresight, rushing may end up causing further mayhem which will not help, ignoring the experience of former “governments†would be suicidal.
