Operation peace aboard?

For many Somali Nationals in exile abroad, the interim Government recently re-instated by a joint Ethiopia-Us military offensive will not be recognised until the common man is given the opportunity to elect their choice for president.

 

This was declared in part by Junayd Egale a community leader based in London. Junayd, who was speaking to KLN last evening, reiterated his stand and what he calls a united opinion from Somalis in the Diaspora. He said the two years that Yusuf has been given to lead Somalia will become another nightmare. Junaid confirmed reports that Somalia is becoming another Iraq with insurgents mounting guerrilla attacks on the Ethiopian Forces still in the country., He said many people including women and children have been killed since the interim President was brought back to Mogadishu, the streets are back to their chaotic state and nothing like law and order existing, contrary to what the chosen Government mouth-pieces are telling the rest of the world.

 

“There is no freedom of press in that country. Any order that had been put in place by the United Islamic Courts has been blown away and the streets are beginning to pile with rubbish, insecurity-people are scared of walking the streets even during the day. Petty thefts of utilities such as mobile phones and other similar accessories are common place.”

 

Asked – Where do we go from here? Junaid spelt out a six-point plan that he feels is a consensus of what the Somali would like for their country, before any genuine peace talks can resume, and that will include;

1. Full withdrawal of Ethiopian troops

2. All stakeholders to be included in the talks with special consideration for the youth and women

3. No amnesty should be declared for the warlords who have committed war crimes.

4. Negotiations must involve Somalis themselves with the least external interference, especially the foreign elements who have an interest in the country.

5. Participants must be well vetted so as to allow on board only people with Somalia’s interest at heart. These must people of integrity and committed to the cause. People who are accountable and are sure to deliver.

6. Early elections which will be free and fair allowing as many people as possible to participate.

 

In conclusion, Junaid added that the talks should be held within Somalia in a secluded spot preferably in the North, away from the clamour in the capital Mogadishu. Junaid also dismissed the UN factions saying they are dancing to the American tune and cannot see what is wrong in Somalia.

 

“We want a Government that will respect its people regardless of gender or age. We want general amenities availed to the people. We want to see laughter and games with the children back in the playgrounds chasing balls not grenades.”

-exclude all men from the Somali Political scene for the next 2 millenia's

 

-Elect a Female president with a female cabinet

 

-import chinese and other foreigners so that Somali people see these new groups as a threat and therefore start working together( this method is used by many European countries very sneaky but works like magic )

 

- fly all our Somali cousins scattered around the horn to the Mainland and then build a large wall around our 23384++ mile border

 

- leave the A.U and A.L and all other crap ORG's

 

then we will prosper
