ICU is getting tired simply by information warfare. ICU is falling for it every time.

 

Weeks ago there was announced visit by President Abdullahi Yusuf to central somalia. ICU jumped to war right away, afraid that the president is coming to start war.

 

Its now believed the Dinsoor area skirmishes are also for the same reason. Its now being reported by some outlets that the president visited the armed forces in that area and the ICU jumped the gun afraid that the president is going to start war from there.

 

I think all the president need to do is move around and the ICU will run out of breath this way. It would be funny if it didn't involve suffering of the innocent and families.

 

There is additional information that the president was in uniform when he visited the armed forces.

Somalia pres visits the frontlines

BAIDOA, Somalia Dec 9 (Garowe Online) - The president of Somalia�s UN-backed interim government secretly visited his troops overnight Friday after heavy fighting broke out between government and Islamist forces earlier in the day, confidential sources said.

 

President Abdullahi Yusuf was accompanied by his top military commanders on his visit to the troops, which military officials said was designed to further motivate government forces in the region.

 

Heavy fighting erupted on Friday in Diinsoor, a district southwest of the government base at Baidoa. The Islamists have claimed victory and the government has denied such claims, but its difficult to independently confirm what any group says because communication lines to Diinsoor have been cut for the past week.

 

Sources said President Yusuf urged government troops to prepare to continue the war against the Islamic Courts. The eruption of violence follows a decision last Wednesday by the UN Security Council approving an 8,000-strong African peacekeeping force to deploy in Somalia in support of Yusuf�s government.

 

Violence continues

 

Reports from the frontlines of the battle indicate that the two opposing military forces exchanged artillery fire on Saturday.

 

Somali government troops and Islamist forces are facing each other in the Safar Noleys area in the outskirts of Diinsoor town, residents reported.

 

One Islamist official told Garowe Online that fighting began again on Saturday and is continuing, adding that its difficult to ascertain the number of casualties.

 

The government�s deputy defense minister Salad Jeele denied that heavy fighting was going on in the Diinsoor area, but admitted that there was war intensity in the region.

 

Baidoa residents reported seeing hundreds of troops and weaponry leaving the town and heading to the frontlines.

First thing, I don't believe that The TFG is going war into Mogadishu because it is useless to do so as we speak now the (ICU)party is the tribe and the tribe is the shacabka are you gonna kill them all is no. If it is something that containable/separateable than it is interesting to do the same thing that USC/ICU use to say Dadkaa noo yeertay go ahead and remove it even if it is Mogadishu. However for sure where ever USC/ICU got, stays with its muscle including Kismayo, Shabeelada Hoose, and Abudwaaq would like to be the TFG colum then, which is enough thing to hope for and that is what I would do if I was the TFG and start the talk the talk and walk the walk. on other hand TFG is loosing media wars because the only web side they had is being silent for months now.
