Contest: Puntland Flag

^^ Johny da cockpit one makes sense to me alot, but I had rather not see a flag other than da famous blue with the star which u can see it on my left and right hand side right now

@Daaradonle, I was thinking of that, but I thought I could minimize the stars to avoid infringement with the EU.

 

But, I will consider your idea as decent. I will design one with the 8 stars.

 

@nuune, I think the EU one has loads of stars. Its navy-blue with yellow stars. Anyway, the EU can be an inspiration.

why not keep the simple bulugleey? Every Somali is represented by the 5 pointed star.

wizard, you can draw the stars different model if want your flag not look like that of EU.because their model is circular.

green color: barwaaqada puntland

sky blue color : indin ocean or blue sky

the blue star : the five parts of somaliweyn

the white color: peace.

it is little bit similar to that of mr Harag shabeel but it is different .

I like this one, lets think outside the box lads. I dont like the stripe flags, so 20th century.

 

Also we are a state, thus we can play around.

the flag has 5 stars, doesn't this take the attention away from Puntland. this flag to me seems like a national flag not a regional one.

Not from pundland state but I will give you some ideas

From designer point of view.

 

1.when choosing colour you have to think about if that well look good

On people cuz people like to wear their flag. In this case the chosen colour should look

good on black/brown People.

 

Personally I don’t think the colour black, white brown look

Good on black/brown person.

 

2a flag should be simple aka not have more then 3 colour

3.Should not resemble the national flag.

It does not have to have meaning behead it.

 

This a flag that I designed which have all the basic condition of a design in this case a flag.

^ I like the dove minus the olive branch. I think the tri-color blue white bright green is a visual assult and though I like the white flag with the blue stars the best, would that not indecate puntland surrenders in every conflict by raising the white flag

A little explanation:

 

White = Peace

Stars = Five colonial regions of Somalia.

 

I am thinking of increasing the stars to 8, so they can represent the 8 regions of Puntland State.
