General Duke Posted December 23, 2008 ^^^Adeer no hope lost, Somaliweyn is not dead. It will be frozen for a while and like Djibouti its time to look after our interest. Our brothers in the south want to liberate Iceland, good luck to them.
Fabregas Posted December 23, 2008 Forget about Iceland, they will send a brother on a rocket launcher to the moon and claim to for Islam, Allahu Akbar.

Abdinasir Kadawo Posted December 24, 2008 Adde has been going that direction (the secession) for some time now. But he wouldn’t dare to entertain such idea officially, because he knows that overwhelming majority of Puntland population would be against it. The only group he could count on is hardcore A/Yusuf supporters.
General Duke Posted December 24, 2008 ^^ Maybe you are right, but many of Puntland population have not had a positive contact with the south for nearly two decades, others no contacts these past 15 years. The mentality has changed, but secessionism is not a good point at all. PS: Hardcore Yusuf supporters make up a great deal of Punt.

General Duke Posted December 26, 2008 The truth is Allamagan my lad, Puntland has become a powerhouse within Somalia. Since 1998 and its inception has seen the growth of its cities, many infrastructure projects set in place, a booming economy again relative to Somalia and a profound self belief in its population. Puntland has many problems, poverty, high unemployment and mismanagement of resources. But it has the people to address these issues. Our elder leaders for all their faults have given us the state and secured it. It is up to the next generation and the Young Turks to develop this state to a new level surpassing anything ever done in Somalia. Insha Allah we will. Geel-Jiire, adeer yusuf is a hero in Puntland, as its greatest defender and founding father he holds a special place. Now that he is retiring even his detractors will see the value of the old warrior.
