I think short-sighted and dichotomous minds will always quible with lowly ends of important matters. The enlightened one sees beyond the immediate, and is compassionate enough to cross the quagmire of vindictive bitterness, to stretch a merciful hand to all those who suffer - first to his own people and next to his enemies. And only great leaders are born of such high spirit as to see across the bond. The Shariif, sharing forgiving and merciful qualities with previous legendary leaders of the world, is a beacon of all that is good in Somaliness and humanity in general.

In a fair and ideal world, I would happily take your view. But this is not one and therefore I can't. Every step counts, every action matters and every gesture either propels or hinders. In this case, I fear that Sh. Hotel is hindering his own credibility by openly making these visits.

 

Granted, this action on its own is nothing but the drip drip drip of condemnation shall soon turn into a thunder of disapproval (and all because of the combination of small actions such as this one).
