Sort of like closing the door behind you, so no one can come in after you're safely inside.

With no achievements to speak of, the current TFG leadership, like all previous administrations, attempts to cling on by shutting down the process as its term comes to a close.

In all fairness though, this is not unique to the TFG, nor to Somalis, but is a condition that afflicts most African and Arab states with weak constitutional institutions.

They are either selfish and want to keep all to themselves or they're very confident that they'll finally deliver within their term. One problem, this current TFG is pretty retarded and cannot and has no capacity to defend itself properly while creating and reaching meaningful steps. They are dead on their tracks with No movements, just stuck in the mudd in Villa Somalia in defensive mode. But The world is no longer patient though, and the financial support hasn't been flowing lately.

I think it would speed up the things, If they could kindly step aside so AS can put things in motion as they are known for. AS, unlike the TFG are result driven. They do just do it without much noise. TFG is too extensive and large to manage and hold its own members accountable for their work. One of the things people warned about the TFG at the start was its size, too much luggage and so little resource. The Southern Somalis are at crisis point yet They went ahead and recruited 500MPs for such poor nation. I just think this thing is too big to even have chance to work. They're gonna die out just like the one under Yey, Qasim, Ali Mahdi.

^In all fairness, Mintid, the current TFG has spent far too much time on reconciliation. Whatever has a start must come to an end. Sheikh Sharif and his administration have made a great deal of effort to bring the opposition to the table, and eventually into the fold, but that didn't work. 'Time' for conciling with those who oppose the government, was the premise upon which the TFG has neglected to fulfil it's duty, which it must now undertake candidly. To govern or not to govern, that is the question.

^^

An interesting and valid point...

But can it deliver? Ina Sharmarke claimed they will have all of Mogadishu under their control by the end of this month (hinting at an upcoming military operation after some TFG forces completed training in Djibouti and Uganda).

This will be the test - is it more of the usual empty boasting or will there be the will and resources to actually bring some TFG control to Mogadishu?...
