Extremists must not turn Somalia into a safe haven for terrorists!

The extremist group of Alshabab should not turn our country into a safe haven for wanted terrorists.

 

Known and wanted terrorist like Abu Yuusuf Saalix Cali Nabhaan bring more destruction to our country, and whoever invites such wanted terrorists is a clear enemy of Somali national interest.

 

Our Somali nation has enough problems to take care of, we do not want to be dragged into a foreign Jihadist cause in which cowardly men target Western interests and than hide in some cave.

 

Our people will not die to save such cowardly men, and whoever tries to provide such cowardly men with hide-outs is guilty of jeopardizing the lives of thousands of Somali civilians.

 

Fortunately, the assasination of Abu Yuusuf Saalix Cali Nabhaan has caused zero damage to Somali civilians.

What I find disturbing is the fact that those who support the extremists are silent about the wanted terrorists who hide amongs Somali civilians.

You cannot denounce the US bombing of the wanted terrorists while you support the suicide bombings these terrorists conduct on Western interests.

 

I would say, let the West and Alqaida/Global Jihadi movements battle their war somewhere else.

 

Somalia is for Somalis, and we have enough problems we need to overcome. The last thing we need and want is for our country to be turned into a hide-out for suspect individuals and for Western countries to conduct secretive military operations.

They are extremists for their extremist tactics in pursuing their selfish political goals, and not to forget their distorted view of the religion.

 

Their whole modus operandi is alien to Somalis, and they have dismissed any interference from well-respected Culama, which clearly shows that they are insecure about their Islamic credentials. The last thing a pretender wants is an open discussion with those more knowledgeable in the subject which one pretends he masters.

 

As for the terrorists, the assasinated man was part of the group that blew up Western targets in Kenya. He should face the consequences of his action and not hide in Somalia.

 

We should not jeopardize our people in hiding such cowardly men. And we will not feel the plight of providing safe haven to criminals who have blood on their hands, for that would make us guilty as well.

 

The fact that they call themselves ''Muslim'' does not mean that we have to jeopardize our interest in defending them.
