rudy-Diiriye Posted November 3, 2007 About time i say!! Slain Ethiopian troops paraded in Mogadishu streets Posted 7 hours 43 minutes ago Masked Islamist insurgents on pick-up trucks paraded what they said were the bodies of three Ethiopian soldiers in the streets of Mogadishu on Friday, an AFP correspondent reported. The show of defiance by the Shabab, the radical armed wing of the main Somali Islamist movement, came when a four-day lull was shattered by renewed fighting in the capital's southern neighbourhoods. "We will keep killing them until they get out of our country," shouted one of the gun-toting insurgents. His face hidden behind a red turban, the Islamist fighter and his two fellow insurgents toured the southern Barubah neighbourhood for several minutes with their gruesome trophy. "The people who invaded our country are dying every day in the fighting," an AFP reporter heard the man shout. Witnesses confirmed an artillery duel between Ethiopian forces and insurgents in the nearby Gupta neighbourhood, in the first night marred by major clashes since Ali Mohamed Gedi resigned from the premiership on Monday. According to witnesses, the latest spate of attacks in the restive seaside capital left four Ethiopian troops, two civilians and an insurgent dead. The death toll could not be immediately confirmed by medical sources. Residents said at least one Ethiopian soldier was killed when raiding suspected Islamist insurgent hideouts in southern Mogadishu's Al-Baraka neighbourhood. A landmine killed a Somali soldier who was collecting tax in a market in Baladweyne township, about 300 kilometres north of the capital, witnessess said. Ethiopian troops have been venturing deeper into the streets of Islamist bastions in recent days, in a bid to break the back of an insurgency that has plagued efforts to stabilise the transitional government for months. Seekknowledge Posted November 3, 2007 Did they parade all the innocent somalis they killed to get these three? What Islam says about the respect of dead bodies whether muslims or not? When a clan decides to use the name Islamic doesn't mean they are following Islam.
Xoogsade Posted November 3, 2007 ^ Who cares about dead Xabashi troops? They maim and kill somalis every where with impunity. Yesterday Ethiopian soldiers crossed the border into Galdogob and kidnapped two quranic teachers whose fate are unknown. They also closed newly opened radio in that town when it reported the violence in Muqdisho. Xabashi troops burn somalis alive, burn their huts to the ground, rape their women, and kill their animals to exact severe pain for resisting Xabashi rule. Forget about Muqdisho where they destroyed whole sections of Xaafado with their tanks and artillery and uproot people from their homes. You sound resentful rather than concerned about violations of islamic laws and teachings, same resentment evident in all A/Y and TFG supporters when Xabashis are hurt. You are more concerned about Clan than issues which burn every decent somali's soul, the blasphemous TFG and Their savage Xabashi minions bloodying Somalis everywhere. Waxaan sinji lahayn baa soomaali kawada buuxa.

The Ethiopian troops and the T.F.G militias were the ones that fired at innoncent civilians so get your facts straight mate! If you think the T.F.G militias are innoncent, that is a whole ball different game!
Xoogsade Posted November 3, 2007 The only fact certain people need is Xabashi troops being killed and paraded. You don't see them make comments any other time except when they see a window of opportunity to express more of their hate towards other somalis they relish in their misery. At the moment the dead of many Ethiopian troops is a joy, and I dont freaking care whether they are paraded or not, as long as they are dead. Preferably all of them dead will be excellent. Fabregas Posted November 4, 2007 And no bodies were actually dragged! The bodies were paraded and brought to Muqdisho streets in order that the Ethiopians exchange their dead bodies for Somali prisoners. Thus they got to bury and take their dead men, whilst Somalis were released. Happy ending I say!
Seekknowledge Posted November 4, 2007 At least the TFG are not hiding under the banner of Islam. Xoogsade- Where are your comments when somali women were raped, people were uproted from their homes, murdered by other somalis for many many years. The Ethiopians invaded Somalia recently who was doing all the atrocities before that and why were you silent about it. I guess it is ok for you as long as the rape is done by somalis. Whether Ethiopians, Somalis or your favourite clan is doing the rape you should talk about it and not hide one and expose the other. Maybe you should go and ask the women if they prefer to be raped by an ethiopian, somali or your clan.
