General Duke Posted May 20, 2008 Obama seals support of world's richest man The world's richest man has backed leading Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama for the top job. Billionaire investor Warren Buffett says he previously offered to support both Obama and former first lady turned New York Senator Hillary Clinton. However Buffett said he was giving his full support to Obama after it became clear the leading Democrat would seal his party's nomination. "I will be very happy if he is elected President," Buffet said. "He is my choice." Obama is now considered the likely nominee for the Presidential candidacy in November and will go up against Republican nominee-in-waiting John McCain. While Hillary Clinton still remains in the race it now seems unlikely she will be able to secure the level of support needed to take out the nomination. Clinton is yet to concede but is understood to be negotiating a graceful exit from the campaign. There is now also growing speculation that either both candidates will team up as President and Vice-President, or more likely, Clinton will attempt to run again in 2012. The race continues with only a small number of primary votes remaining. Warren Buffett's fortune is estimated to be about $65 Billion. He has pledged to give most of it away.
