Somalia: Leaving from a peace to a war

The situations are awfully breezy, hush, tranquility and you can shift freely when you are in northern Somalia now known as Somaliland.

 

I am in Hargeisa capital city of Somaliland. The time is 1:15am 8th February, 2010; nine passengers and I are in Igal International Airport in Hargeisa waiting for Suhura Airways as to flight in the direction of Mogadishu. The airplane is cargo one, only twelve seats are subsists.

 

At what time that we expected 2:00 pm to flight, cru of the aircraft starts the engines, after 15 minutes managing directors of airport commanded to switch the plane. When we went toward out side, the people told us that the jet burned side of left engine and we surprised as well as some of us shocked behind seeing the flame.

 

Immediately, we modified our tickets to other flights. Then the second day we air traveled from there to Mogadishu. In the airplane there is a man who has the identity card of traditional federal government (TFG), he is raising and shaking digitalized large photo of president Sheikh sharif and saying with load voice al-shabab are stupidest, who is Al-shabab in here? Our government will succeed; our president will be a long live and exist. The passengers were whispering about this a man some of them asked that the war is passed to airplanes? There is no place to live in the prejudiced nation.

 

Actually, the people in southern Somalia are ignorance because they failed to find the real solution of their land like the north and east. Do you know the why? This is regular question but hasn’t any answer still. Some of educators proclaim this is what is left by the colonial administration because Italian colony leaned to this people how to trick, robber, and murder by each another. But question is why the Italian colony could learn the tricky, robbery, and murdering among countries such Eritrea, Libya and puntland state of Somalia? Others proclaim there is intervention and interest from different foreign this is most suitable answer; you see that there is a various competition of our territory and seas.

The hearing the name of Mogadishu, nearly all of you worry, surprise, terror, bad fear and shivering from the constant fire, mina, pumping or shelling machine guns to blameless civilians every where in the city. We landed the airport of Mogadishu 2:00pm the time of city on February 9, 2010.

 

The fearing increases minute by minute, instantaneously, guarders and foreign arms are starting to ask you many questions. Questions facing when you there included we sure that you a member of terrorist group Al-shabab isn’t? You dressed like militants? Why did you arrive here if you are not Al-shabab? The suspect is widespread and familiar to young generations. The people are facing many problems. We had gone from airport on the way to down town or our villages.

 

Welcome to the war leaving from the peace, really, you are frightening your sides (I mean sides of the road whether buried explosion materials). All around us (sides of the highway from airport to kilometer four) there are well equipped forces by African union specially Ugandan government.

 

Running about 8 minutes in the road later than, Ugandan soldier gun fired to our land cruiser, the driver, without more ado stopped the car and we shocked what is happening. What are ****** habits doing by Uganda soldiers in here? Do you know what we can entitle them? Do we say peace keepers or civilian massacres?

 

Two bullets penetrated the front roof of the car but no one was harmed by bullet. A lot of equipped tanks and soldiers walking sides of the railway passed away until 15 minutes we were stood there. No one questioned us but the firing is only language utilizes. We waited and waited to be free of charge from this bullet command but no one yet. We saw our behind a car which running commencing airport elevation.

 

This is civilian minibus and we followed the bus in anticipation of kilometer four (4).

 

Three cars are there, two of them are fighting ones which are disembarking the railway from Hamarweyne district. They fired ammunitions en route for atmosphere, the appalling, shocking, frighten is a constant case at this juncture. I asked our driver to describe us why they are firing while there is no fighting now? Simply, he responded that they are escaping from drawback attacks and road pumps from oppositions so they have to fire as to run away.

 

The diseases causes by stress like hypertension and blood pressure are increasing these years the whole of Mogadishu because the heavy load pumping exploit the group of battle.

 

Unfortunately, there is another equipped vehicle forces of Ugandan armaments which are unmerciful arms from side of hotel Shammow. These arms characterized tossing heavy artillery to civilian places in Mogadishu which kills many innocent civilians every day unlike Burundi soldiers. Sometimes, in the streets, Ugandan troops walk over civilian transportations without any respect to Somalis for the reason that they have bulky vehicles which easy to smash civilian cars. We don’t identify why the Ugandan soldiers massacring Somali innocent? We don’t know also why African union is watching bad habits of Ugandan forces to guiltless natives? Imagine when peace keepers create worry to citizens!!! Area under control of traditional government is typified killing, robbery by Uganda’s and government boorish troops.

 

My journeys went other parts of Mogadishu which is under Al-Shabab’s power like Howlwadag, Huriwa, and Yakshid district. Here, there are men who had head covered only you can see their eyes and they are standing sides of roads. When they see you they are questioning where you come from? What you are? You are young man as we think that you are ready to take part the holly war against infidels? It easy to investigate what you are because their experts of investigation are highly developed. For example, your cell phone is listening by Al-Shabab therefore; if you said a word against them may under menace or peril thus you have to be quiet or will die without doubt. Every day, they induce youngest boys approximately 14 to 17 years old to acquire part the holly war. I was eye witness a young boy may possibly less than 16years old who beating a patient mother may bigger than 65 years old reason for why did you take this clothes? Although they say, people should dress hard clothes and purchasing solid dresses is very trouble sake of paralyzed conflicts for Somalis. Al-Shababis strongly underneath areas is very secure but murdering wanted people by this group is another human right abuses like slaughtering, sentencing and so on.

 

Our people, territory, seas and dignity were mislaid by egocentric Somalis and selfish from foreign countries.

 

Finally, Wallahi if you are Somali patriotic person; actually is surprising, tearing and worrying every day shelling of missals or artilleries, genocide of childlike, and destroying of our buildings. As to minimize or an end Civil casualties and devastation of the country, Somalis should rethink good looks for their prospect future.

 

Refugees from fighting in the vein of Mogadishu, Beledwein and other areas, there are no water, food, shelter and medication. The wars smashed people’s property and they need for help internationally and locally, reader if you can please help out refugees.
