The miniature skirmishes were between al-shabaab and madoobe loyalists. Youngsters from madoobe's clan are fighting on both sides of the battle as indicated by my sources. In fact, a large percentage of the foot soldiers and leadership of Al-shabab in the lower Jubba are from Madoobe's clan.
