Isn't this the same position they have taken since Sharif became president? Even Al-Shabaab were saying the same thing when Somali religious scholars held that meeting in Mogadishu back when SHarif came to the office. I really don't see any change here. AMISOM are there to bring peace back and no they aint going no where until that happens. Al-shabaab and Hisbil Islam are about to demolish on their own anyways. Their time is about to be up.

Yes but that position was later followed up with accusations of takfeer. To say they will negotiate now would presumably mean that the kufur 'fatwa' has been lifted.
