Sh. Aweys oo dhaliilay qaraxii lagu dilay Cumar Xaashi

19 Jun 19, 2009 - 7:29:25 AM

Hogaamiyaha Ururka Xisbul Islaam Sh. Xasan Daahir Aweys ayaa dhaliilay dilkii wasiirkii amaanka Somalia Xil. Cumar Xaashi Aadan oo qarax qorsheysan lagu dilay shalay [June 18] galinkii kaasoo ka dhacay hotel uu ka daganaa Baladweyne oo lagu magacaabo Madiina.

Sh. Aweys ayaa si cad u sheegay in qaabka dilkaas uu u dhacay uu ahaa mid aan wanaagsanayn, isagoo u muuqday inuu diidan yahay isqarxinta ay inta badan isticmaasho kooxda Al-shabaab.

"Qadiyadii lagu dilay Cumar Xaashi iyo dad badan waa mid aan aad uga xumahay… waxaana ka dambeeyay koox cadow ah" ayuu yiri Sh. Xasan Daahir, inkastoo uusan carabka ku dhufan cid gaar ah.

Dhaqdhaqaaqa Al-shabaab ayaa durba sheegtay inay iyagu ka dambeeyeen qaraxii lagu dilay Wasiirka, Danjire la socday, saraakiil, oday dhaqameedyo iyo dad rayid ah, iyagoo sheegay in ruux iyaga ka tirsan uu ismiidaaminta sameeyay.

Sh. Xasan Daahir ayaa ku tilmaamay in dadka badan ee dhintay qaraxa ay keentay qaabka wax loo maareeyay oo uu ku tilmaamay qaab ku cusub Somalia, isagoo aan sheegin halka laga soo minguuriyay.

Madaxweynaha Somalia Sh. Shariif Sh. Axmed oo shalay [Jun 18] shir jaraa’id ku qabtay Villa Somalia ayaa qaraxii lagu dilay wasiirkii amaanka Somalia iyo Danjirihii Somalia u fadhiyay Ethiopia ku eedeeyay Ururka Al-Qaeda oo kusoo duushay Somalia iyo dad Somali ah oo ay kaashanayso.

Xil. Cumar Xaashi Aadan, Sh. Xasan Daahir Aweys iyo Sh. Shariif Sh. Axmed ayaa muddo laba sano ah ku sugnaa dalka Eritrea, iyagoo aasaasay Isbahaysigii ARS oo dagaal adag la galay xukuumadii TFG iyo ciidamadii gacanta siinayay ee Ethiopia.

Hogaamiyaha Xisbul Islaam oo ka tirsan mucaaradka ka horjeeda dowlada Somalia ayaa horay u dhaliilay qaraxii lala beegsaday wasiirka arimaha gudaha Somalia Sh. C/qaadir Cali Cumar, kaasoo la doonayay in lagu qaarijiyo, balse sababay inay dhintaan qaar ka mid ilaaladiisa iyo xoghayntiisii.

Dhanka kale; Sh. Aweys, wuxuu eedeyn kulul u jeediyay dowlada Sh. Shariif isagoo ku eedeeyay inay burburinayso Suuqa Bakaaraha oo ka nabadgalay sida uu sheegay TFG, isagoo amaanay ra’iisul wasaarihii hore ee Somalia Nuur Xasan Xuseen [Nuur Cadde] oo uu sheegay inuu badbaadiyay Suuqa oo ay ku xoogan yihiin mucaaradka.

Sh. Xasan Daahir oo la weydiiyay in hadalkiisan uu keeni karo iskudhac dhexmara isaga iyo kooxda Al-shabaab; ayaa sheegay inuusan taasi filayn, balse ay wax walba dhici karaan haddii aanu jirin mowqif mideysan iyo aragti mid ah.

Somalia: Aweys condemns security minister's assassination

19 Jun 19, 2009 - 7:59:56 AM

MOGADISHU, Somalia June 19 (Garowe Online) - A senior opposition figure in Somalia has condemned the assassination of Security Minister Omar Hashi, who was killed by a suicide bomber yesterday, Radio Garowe reports Friday.

Sheikh Hassan Dahir Aweys, chairman of Hizbul Islam rebel faction, said the way the Security Minister was killed is a "new tactic" in Somalia.

"I am saddened by the loss of so many lives...the enemy is behind this [attack]," Sheikh Aweys said, but he did not elaborate who the enemy is.

Al Shabaab, a group listed as a terrorist organization by the U.S. government, has claimed responsibility for the attack, where the former Security Minister was among 25 people killed when a suicide bomber rammed a vehicle into a hotel in Beletwein, a provincial town in central Somalia.

Asked if his comments could trigger a conflict with Al Shabaab, Sheikh Aweys dismissed the possibility but stated that "anything is possible" if the various armed factions fighting the Somali government do not have a "unified ideology."

Earlier this year, Sheikh Aweys condemned the attempted assassination of Interior Minister Sheikh Abdulkadir Ali Omar, a former ally and senior member of the Islamic Courts movement.

Yesterday, Somali President Sheikh Sharif Ahmed blamed Al Qaeda for the suicide bombing that killed the Security Minister, a former ambassador and clan elders in Beletwein.

The first suicide bombing in Somalia occurred in 2006, when then-President Abdullahi Yusuf was the target of suicide car bombs that killed his younger brother in Baidoa.

Separately, Sheikh Aweys accused President Sheikh Sharif's government of attempting to "destroy" Bakara Market, a notorious marketplace where Islamist insurgents wield power.

He praised ex-Prime Minister Nur "Adde" Hassan Hussein for "saving Bakara" during his term in 2008.

It was clear from the get go that this war was alshabaab's. Aweys, Turk and the rest of other parrots are just the logistics of the war. they have no say in the strategy of this war, nor are they even consulted in the tactics. They had a choice, still have, to state the truth.

what will the likes of Aweys do next? will they come back to fold again, or will they continue on the wrong path?

He, Hassan Dahir Aweys, stated that it was sad but never send his condolences - furthermore the irony is that in the same radio interview the Sheikh justified the same suicide act and said with firm voice that it was acceptable on the grounds of the Sharia because those whether individual or one person who was driving the suicide truck was doing so to fight infedils and sympathisers.

The Sheikh cant have both ways.

^^^He is no Shiekh, a strong man yes. Ayhow he is scared of the outraged coming from the Hiiraan clan that lost its top leadership including elders.

Indeed Aweys want to have it both ways, he is using shabaab for his political power at mement but time will tell wether he will be able to control them. It seems the shabaab have their own ruthless strategy and I am afraid no one will be able to stand in their way including Col Aweys.

^^ Don't all jump on the man's back just yet. This might be a wake up call for him. Not because of the dead people or the way it was done but because of his realisation of how much power he (personally) weilds in this conflict (i.e. not much). He may yet change sides (hada ma Sh. Hotel ba ka fiican). :D

^^ If he does change sides, it'll be his loss. And he'll have to deal with what Cumar Xaashi tasted and what Shaykh Hotel is hiding from.

This is a organic grass-roots revolutionary movement of liberation that is bigger than mere individuals. It is a liberation movement that has captured the imagination of Somalis from all over Somalia and the four corners of the world. This is a movement that has reached critical mass, there is simply no going back to to age of "Anaka vs Ayaga" or "Alaayaaay Tol'aaay Baa'aaay Hooogaaay"

The thoroughbred who led the assualt today in Kaaraan is Macalin Xaashi, a close cousin of Shaykh Sharif.

Clan has lost it's currency, abti. And for many people, it's a strange new order of things.

But get used to it. 'Cuz it's here to stay, inshallah.

Tahir Aweys is a big boy with influence for sure. Ask Muqdisho clan elders, the peace caravan and the so called sufi militias how things have been since his return. Also check how much territory and gains his allied forces have made since his return.
