DigibAc Posted January 30, 2007 The TFG is a clan-based government based on the 4.5 formulas. The only purpose the TFG has is to reconcile the Somali people and create state Institutions. If the TFG cannot achieve this then it has failed. The foreign occupying troops that are in the country are there to provide firepower for the TFG. Without this foreign firepower the TFG will not function. The proof of this is that the TFG was dysfunctional before the occupation. Will the TFG become dysfunctional once the occupation ends? Yes, unless they reconcile the Somali people!
General Duke Posted January 30, 2007 ^^^Absolute nonsence and a further highlight of your agenda, come out clean son. The TFG is a transitional government its task is to secure the country and built up its national instuutions. Its a real government, with a large base, all includive and represents every clan. Who are the Somali people you speak about? I know that 14 out of 15 reagions are peacful. That out of Mogadishu 15 districts only a few has seen violence against the TFG. Keep them coming. General Duke Posted January 30, 2007 Tell me which clan, region is against the TFG out of the 15 regions it controls, please bring a single clan elder who is against the TFG?
DigibAc Posted January 30, 2007 The TFG is a "Temporary" government. A "Transitional" government if you will. It has a mandate and a list of things it has to do in a set time. It was created for this purpose. Some of those items on its list of things to do are to lay the groundwork for a referendum on a new constitution that will form the bases for our permanent government, Inshallah. See Chapter 4 and Chapter 14 of the charter.
General Duke Posted January 30, 2007 ^^^Ok, no one is doubting this but kindly answer this question, which clan has it failed to reconcile with? Dont side step the theme and in my opinion the aim of your thread.. Kindly back up the claim, which clan has it failed to reconcile with and thus resulted in its failure? DigibAc Posted January 30, 2007 General Duke, first of all it's not for the TFG to "reconcile" will any clan, after all the TFG is not a clan. The job of the TFG is to reconcile the clans. The fact is people are being targeted and killed for their clan affiliations and for religious believe right now in the areas formally controlled by the ICU. Clan tensions are very high all over the country (for example between the people in the Puntland and Somaliland regions). I personally hope this does not turn into full-scale clan wars but the situation is not good. The TFG needs to get away from all this business of begging the world for money and troops and get to the business of reconciling the clans so that we can have real peace. General Duke Posted January 30, 2007 ^^^Saxib, you are making accusations, the clan courts attacked the TFG and were routed, hwoever no clan has been thus far targeted, no clans are fighting due to the failure of the clan courts. You have been unable to back up your claim, the clan courts organisation has been decimated, but so far no single clan has been targeted. The TFG has empowered many clans, maybe this is the reason for all the "outrage" specially the unarmed and dispossesed, the lower Shabbele, and the Jubai's is a simple example. The fact that the TFG ahs created an admin for Mogadishu, which the courts wre unable to achieve, due to clan competion, and that this admin has the support of the majority of that cities population also further damages your claim. In Afgoyee, the locals are in control. The reconicilation will continue as the TFG gets stronger, it is after all the peoples government. Wisdom_Seeker Posted January 30, 2007 DigiTalbAct3ria The government forgets that the only reason people are quiet is because if they attack the government, the Ethiopian tanks and American planes will kill them. The TFG doesn’t have enough troops to fully secure Mogadishu forget about the country. If they didn’t they won’t have needed Ethiopia’s assistance, the hoax that they can manage and stand on their on is laughable.
General Duke Posted January 30, 2007 Building a national army takes time, the reality of Somalia even makes that fact more difficult. The Ethiopians play a role but not the major one. The TFG has the support of the grass roots, the majority, the unarmed, the down troden in these areas. They do have 15000 troops who will be insha Allah the foundation for the 40-60,000 new national army. Who will no doubt secure the country as the former army did. Wisdom_Seeker Posted January 30, 2007 ^^^ Before building a national army you have to build the nation. The government doesn’t have the money to pay those men. Rather than trying to build an army, how about we try to help the people with basic human needs, hmmmm, shall we start with food and clean water? Or are some folks preparing themselves for a dictatorship government? Set up the institutions that conduct ballot votes. people will be sure to vote. The TFG so far was able to bring chaos to the Somali nomad who was taking care of his animals far away from the areas of disorder. And you say those unarmed people who were killed by the American bombs and Ethiopian troops support the TFG, what a joke.
