What you fail to understand is that Somalia is a nation whose splitting is dangerous to every Somali, whereas P/land is a state and state issues are less serious than national security matters. Puntland was created to show the other somalis that a mamul can be created of different clans from different regions and cohesively live in peace. This is to set an example to the south to get their act together and unite and form and administration.

When I asked my father regaring the sool issue he said their was secret meeting that said no ssdf soldiers will be going to sool because their is alot of darawish people their who are double agents and get us killed.

 

However logistics will be provided to them to free themselves such as medicine/money/weapons but thats it as far as puntland concerned from what my father told me he said alot of boys died out there while the darawish were drinking shax at hargeisa or some were passing puntland strategies and bases in sool to the enemy.

 

Ideally what they need to do is liberate themselves under the puntland name and if they need support it will provided to them minus soldiers as i stated theirs bit of lack of trust issue from puntland and don't want to risk their boys for two-faced agents.

 

Puntland has fought many times sxb in sool my aunty husband is still wounded and getting monthly medical bills from us from the battles in sool back 5 years ago and not to mention how many puntlanders died in sool for them only to see the darwish man sitting and sipping shax in hargeisa and even worse double agents in the puntland soldiers.

 

Its not 1 sided story sxb as the darawish love to portray but the point is they need to free themselves using the name puntland, is that so difficult? they will be given whatever logistic they need from garowe except puntland troopers.

 

So still today puntland is supportive of the ssc cause but the ssc ppl now have changed the whole game into forming a mamul and creating itself an enemy in garowe and that doesnt help freeing las anod that just adds more enemies to their plate and they creating their enemies themselves

Its funny how SSC supporters here talk about the Puntland vs SSC, while clearly overlooking the biggest challenge that faces SSC and that isn't puntland nor Ethiopia its Somaliland.

 

To deny the fact that Somaliland is both a military and idealogical foe of SSC, the fact the most Sool, Sanaag and Buhoodle inhabitants are pro-Somaliland is not something to overlook.

 

Dervish nostalgia will not help them any more than Ahmed Gurey nostalgia helped Somalia in the 77 war.

 

the underestimation of Somaliland's might comes from its velvet glove policy towards the dissidents, that have been followed by the current government, but that might change if it loses the election or the policy proves a inept in the face of current challenges.

I am just telling you what the older and wiser people say regarding ssc and they simply don't want to send any troops over there and their not happy about the dilemma's with in the darwish and the divsion and defectioons and all sorts of issues.

 

If i had my way I would send troops but from what my father says it won't be happening and the darwish will have to liberate themselves and they are serious bro wax kaftan ma ahan.

 

So the darwish shouldnt waste their time waiting but start moving and freeing las anod just drop the ssc name and replace it with puntland name is all i was working, sure farole administration has failed them but doesn't mean they gotta leave puntland just for 1 man because puntland is bigger then farole. SSC movement does not really want destroy puntland. So far they have been careful denouncing puntland and there are no census what to do about puntland. SSC needs puntland as much the rest of puntland needs SSC. It will always be some type of cooperation that type of cooperation must redefine.

In otherhand SSc cannot pretend any more they are part of puntland political and economic system. As you mention before puntland priority is on south and you really need only buffer Zone in the north the fact that Faroole house is only five km from SSC territory. What has changed? Garoowe which is center of puntland lies the border of SSC territory, where the important road the south and Galkacayo goes through. What is important Garoowe must improve the relationship for the people of SSC
