Dear Hadoodil,

 

I am sure you are better informed than me on this isse, but some think Faroole would not have dared to make the 'they are not somalis'vitriol without having assessed the general mood of the public inside Puntland.

 

I am one of those who feel perhaps it is only some Dispora folks from Puntland who sell this idea that Faroole's actions are not popular. Even these guys are in the minority in the dispora as evidenced by the 'tolaa'ey'Press Release from Puntland Diaspora Forum.

The same stuff you are saying now, you said about Abdullahi Yusuf and you will say about any leader from Puntland. Notwithstanding the blind defense of anything Farole by the PDF and the Diaspora Puntlanders who are either less informed of his malevolence or deluded by the lies and fabrications of his disgraced administration, the silent majority of Puntlanders disapprove Farole’s Machiavellian machinations and the morality that sanction the ill-treatment of fellow kith and kin.

 

Justice and good governance are hard to come by in a land where the rule of law is inadequate, preferential and selective and the wretched population is at the mercy of ruthless, self-serving goons. So is present day Puntland where survival has become the prerogative of a select few returnees from Diaspora who are fleecing the resource-rich lands without having any benefits trickle down to the less fortunate masses.

 

With the tacit approval of the PDF, Farole is making every effort to prop up and evolve his maladministration into a hermetically sealed chamber where banal criticism, political or ethical debate, and humorous newspaper caricatures are forbidden; where extralegal measures that make a mockery of justices is executed fatuously; where the beleaguered peoples human rights are trampled upon with impunity. Simply put, Farole’s despotic and authoritarian character has surfaced and his dictatorial tendencies may prevail with the approval of his completely-oblivious-to-ground-reality Diaspora stooges.

Riyole is a paper tiger his not able to harm anyone, and the only reason he was mentioned in that article is to give it a sense of balance. The admin in Hargeisa handed over the ONLF fighters and faced retribution and it was swift. They the ONLF did not play the victim card instead they made it clear with their actions that they were more then able to take on Somaliland. So you see any ONLF fighter or sympathizer on Somaliland territory is behind enemy lines, and the state has every right to apprehend that individual or groups and hand them over to their government in Addis Ababa.

The same applies to any member of Al-Shabab caught inside somaliland. Like the ONLF members they will be arrested as enemy of the state and face justice obviously within inside somaliasomaliland.

Compare this to the local militia headed by the pirate king Farole in Buntland. The policy of this Admin makes little sense when it comes to ONLF fighters within their jurisdiction. They have no dispute with the ONLF, yet they are abducting and extraditing to Ethiopia many more then the admin in Hargeisa.

The question is WHY?

Are you making stuff up now. The series of assasinations as terrible as it was targeted government officials, you are not hearing that civilians killing civilians. Puntland is at war with Al-Shaabab and these guys are targeting government officials, Al-Shaabab like the cowards they are hiding their faces and running around in the dark. Puntland is one of the most peaceful regions in Somalia. Of course there are some rotten apples from the south that want to spoil that peace. Lets be honest here, even with the trouble Puntland is facing, it is still one of the most peaceful places in Somalia.

 

No one was tortured to death, or are you still convinced that fake picture was real? He died in custody, how do you know he was tortured?
