General Duke Posted March 3, 2007 Somali president is in economy rising journey Last Updated::2007-03-03 13:02:03 HRNet | Nairobi:- Somalia's interim president Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed has gotten off an economy rising trip, as his government is organizing it self to host a national reconciliation congress in the bullet-riddled capital. The president is due to visit several Arab countries in Middle East to appeal aiding for his interim government witch is facing financial crisis, one of Yusuf's aides told us on condition of anonymity. "The president will visit the Gulf nation of Kuwait, where he will stay in a day and then will go ahead towards two other unidentified countries" sources close to the president's trip said. Other reliable sources in Somalia's presidential palace say Mr.Yusuf will also visit Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he will take a meeting with king Abdallah Bin Abdu Aziz. An aid for the president said Mr. Yusuf hopes the trouble-plagued country will take advantage of the opportunity to return to peace and stability within a shot period after ousting the once powerful Somali Islamists. The interim Somalia President Abdullahi Yusuf announced national reconciliation conference will be held mid next month in a bid to defuse tension which has been rife in the Horn of African nation. Since the Ethiopian-backed Transitional Federal Government routed the Union of the Islamic Courts almost three months ago, "the federal government of Somalia has a roadmap of peace and will keep on, the aid added.
