Faafan Posted February 2, 2009 O.N.L.F Congratulatory Statement To The New Somali President 31 January 2009 The ****** National Liberation Front (ONLF) extends its congratulations to his excellency Hon. Sheekh Sharif Sheekh Ahmed on his recent election as president of Somalia. The ONLF wishes the new president, well in his efforts to restore Somalia's rightful position as a united and sovereign member of family of nations. The election of President Sheekh Sharif marks the failure of the Ethiopian regime's efforts to dictate the state of political affairs in Somalia and affirms that the will of the people of Somalia to administer their own affairs free of foreign intervention is mightier than the tanks and guns of invading Ethiopian troops. While this elections is a positive first step in the right direction, the ONLF wishes to note that the Ethiopian regime has not abandoned its designs on Somalia.
