^^ Nonsense thread ? Perhaps you missed Bilaal's brilliant political piece. I daresay there's a lot you(and many others) can learn from it. Bal ku laabo, adeer.

^^ I did. I actually read it twice (I'm pedantic like that). I know how much you want to believe it and hope that things work out. But you and Bilaal both have BRAINS. Use them and control your passions.

Had you read the piece you would have noticed how lightly he dismissed all the obstacles in their way and decided that qabiil is no more! In fact, he had the temerity to assert that the Somali people are tired of qabiil and will not accept a politician seeking support on that policy!

The realist, Kashfa, would rejoice at the idea of that meeting in Asmara but not hold his breath for a favourable outcome. It's about time that the Courts got their act together and are formulating a political plan to go with their suicidal fighting. If you've been paying attention you would recall that I was banging on about this way back in January. I would be a complete hypocrite to dismiss it today. However, tremendous optimism like the one displayed by the brother above is irrational and almost verges on propaganda. When I read such rubbish (with all due respect of course) I could but only point out how nonsensical it all sounds.

Ps

Loath though you maybe to accept advice from me but I shall give it nonetheless. Yours is the honourable fight and position. Don’t soil it by your wistful gesticulations of anger and defiance. Leave the propaganda to the turncoats, saaxib.

I say Good luck to Asmara group, I hope they make a big turnaround, rethink of their strategy and plan for a peaceful and a lasting solution for the country. Surely this is yet another opportunity which this group can grap it wisely and meaningfully, however that would depend on who's in control of the steering of the "Shir", I hope Afawerki doesn't run the show for the Somalis but I doubt the dictator would give a full freedom for the Somalis to make their decision.

Lets wait and see.

You shouldnt be worried about Afrewerki controlling Somalis in Asmara, which isnt the case by the way. Perhaps you should more worried about the sons of Menelik and Yohaness controlling and occupying the capital city of the Soomaal for the first time in their history. Or the fact that the whole of Muqidsho is shut down and blockaded when Atto Meles Zenawi arrives. But of course you are entitled to your opinions.

There are various differences between the two states. Firstly, Eritrea was liberated from the grip of the expansionst Woyanes by mainly Muslims. Eritrea Muslims and Christian are both nationalistic people who reject the claims made on their country by the Woyane.Eritrea is greatful to Somalis for the assistance they offered during their liberation. On the other hand Meles Zenawi is an ungrateful man who is intent on spreading the control of his tribe to Somalia, Afar, Oromo,Ocadenia and Eritrea. Whilst Eritrea is offering a hand to these mentioned groups to free themselves and liberate themselves from the expansionist woyanes. Eritrea knows that if they get a grip on these territories, then they will come fro Eritrea soon and attempt to control that state too. Lastly, Eritrea was built on liberation from the expansionist woyanes..One can clearly see the difference between the two. Ás for Somaliland, my freind do not forget the leaders of the T.F.G, Puntland and Somaliland are all former Ethiopian backed and trained rebels....Some would say their vision for Somalia and Somalia and Somalis is all honey and milk...... other would disagree.....

I consider puntland part of the tfg ..... so it is one.

Well, Somaliland got its acts together right after the fall of Siad Barre by Announcing its sovernginity and established the peace that is enjoying until now.

Establishing a police and military forces plus all the other related security forces, establishment of the parliament and the guurti house, establishment of all the currently working governmental bodies are done without any help not from the neighboring countries nor from the so called super power governments in the west an east.

That is what i want our fellows in Somalia to consider and take the same path.

Forget about the other lies and baseless accusations sandwitched with hatred and envy.

It is just a simple solution worth trying before it is too late.

Midakale waxaa iga yaabisay Kashafow dadkan sida mr. che iyo NG halkay kulaaban ama ay odhandoonaan waa 'wadankayagii' hadii kaba soo horjeedaan ama aysan warba kahayn wixii ufiican 'wadankooda'.

Hada bal ninkan layidhaa ufiirso NG waxay ila tahay isagu somalilander walaa somalian toona maqorna ee waa carab cara Ingriis dagan sida ay ila tahay...walee iyaga ayaa cirka wadan ku og cause England nor land of Arabia aint their country.

PS: Geeljire well put and I might add that we don't hate Christians nor do we hate Ethiopia for no apparent reason. Simply we are against the idea of what Ethiopia is trying to do in Somali lands politically. Eritrea has never invaded nor has dislodge our hopes and dreams like Ethiopia has. There is no comparison whatsoever.

Dear mr. Che,

Somalia has been going through alot of difficulties. Civil wars, inter clan warfares, warlord vs. warlords, isbaarooyin, you name it. However at the come of the ICU, you and I everyone knows what they did to those who were the reason for the sufferings of the people. They chased out the worlords, created calm in xamar never seen in the civil war era.

So in this case if anyone is being appriciative I think it's mr. kashafa for supporting a movement which has brought dawn of hope, though short lived, but Insha Allah he is also hopeful that it shall return.

In that case, instead of blaming him for being hopeful and opptumisitic you should join him.

With that sentiment above that I quoted, you seem to be either confused or arrogantly just shouting rondomely without knowledge of what you speak. Else you wouldn't make it seem that the ICU is the problem instead of seeing them for what they are, the solution for somalia' problem that we have long awaited.

Somali Congress for Liberation and Reconstitution Approves Constitution

- 11 September 2007 – Following extensive discussions yesterday, participants of the Somali Congress for Liberation and Reconstitution approved a 30-article constitution that would serve to drive out the invading TPLF regime’s forces, the Congress spokesman told journalists.

Stating that despite the forwarding of different views regarding concepts, strategies and tactics, Mr. Zekaria Mahmoud Abdu, Congress spokesman and former Information Minister, said that a common agreement was reached and that almost all issues have been resolved after in-depth discussions. He went on to explain that the remaining task is to hold an election for members of the Central Council, the Chairman and Secretary of the organization to be formed as a result of the Congress.

Expressing satisfaction with the statement the Italian Deputy Foreign Minister issued yesterday in response to the on-going Congress in Asmara, in which he pointed out the miserable conditions that the Somali people are being exposed to due to the TPLF regime’s invasion, the Congress spokesman called on other countries to take a similar, positive step.

Mr. Zekaria indicated that the Congress received a report of atrocious crimes committed against the civilian population in Mogadishu on the part of the invading forces. As part of such atrocities, the TPLF authorities have closed the main Bakara Market of Mogadishu, resorting to massive looting and exposing the population to hunger in the process, he added.

Moreover, the spokesman stated that the Congress called on humanitarian organizations to extend urgent relief aid to the victims of the crimes being committed by the TPLF regime.

Expressing deep regret with the silence of African leaders over the invasion of Somalia, Mr. Zekaria said that keeping silent when an African country commits open invasion against another African country encourages others to do the same. He also called for the change of location of the headquarters of the African Union from Addis Ababa, the capital of the country that has invaded Somalia in gross violation of the AU Charter principles.
