Lixle Posted July 31, 2003 This is not the first, not second or even the third time this refugee camp had been set ablaze. The last time a wild fire swept through this refugee camp which located in Boosaaso, was just less then 2 weeks ago. That fire almost wiped the whole camp out. In the past, the camp survived similar destatereous fires. The few tents and make-shifts that survived the cult of the last fire that devastated the camp, has fanished in this latest fire outburst. The question that begs answers is that, is this a well orchestrated crime against the needy or just few accidents that happened to come one after the other in a coordinated way? guraad Posted July 31, 2003 LOL. You know what , your hate for puntland have no limit , even in this tragedy you trying to point finger . puntlanders are not the people who will attack somali refuees , our puntland state is safe for every somali refugee who have no where to go. those refugees from mughadisho and other southern somali cities have no thing to fear and puntland gov`ment and its people will help them to rebould their lives again. BN Posted July 31, 2003 This is the most disgusting thing I have read on SOL. Are "somalilanders"(read hargeisa tribe) that jelous and desperate to take pleasure in such a tragedy?!?! The fact is that NE Somalia has been a haven for Internally Displaced Somalis since 1991 from Central/South/NW Somalia during their civil wars. The people in the NE are not racist like in the NW--we are somali and don't discriminate against other somalis. Not to mention people from other East african countries. Get a life and ask God for forgiveness.
nomadrebell Posted July 31, 2003 lol..what is wrong with this article or argument...i mean isn't a good idea to let people say what they think..this nomad named mujaahid did not say its the puntlanders who did this to the refugeees..he is simply saying it happened more than once an needs to be investigated thats if theirs qualified people who can investigate things in puntland. todays somalia even qualified people are not to be trusted. LOL. You know what , your hate for puntland have no limit , even in this tragedy you trying to point finger . puntlanders are not the people who will attack somali refuees , our puntland state is safe for every somali refugee who have no where to go. those refugees from mughadisho and other southern somali cities have no thing to fear and puntland gov`ment and its people will help them to rebould their lives again. wow..hold it man.just to let you know, we are definitely reading you loud and clear.hold it to your quick conclusion to this tragedy please.. The fact is that NE Somalia has been a haven for Internally Displaced Somalis since 1991 from Central/South/NW Somalia during their civil wars. The people in the NE are not racist like in the NW--we are somali and don't discriminate against other somalis. Lixle Posted August 1, 2003 Exactly nomadrebell !!! Mr. Bari_Nomad, You know, there is an old Somali adage that goes: "Laylugu biyaha kashkiisa ku jira ayuu ka didaa"... ! Anyways, Mr. Nomad don't twist my words, the question I asked was simple. Was the camp destroyed on purpose (citing the repeated attempts if you like to set afire the camp previously), OR was it just a natural accident. This btw, has nothing to do with whether NE or NW or whatever is a heaven for poor refugees or not. That is quite a story of different interest. But at the moment, lets just focus on this camp and why it has ended up in smokes.
Mystery Posted August 2, 2003 Mujaahid, How about, "dagar qabe dhulkaa u dhagdhaqaaqa". Please be gentle with guraad & Bari, since they're facing identity crises.
