Duufaan Posted May 15, 2009 What war? It is over. I do not know if you lived or stayed in modish. The last few days the war was going on Boondheer, shibis and Shangani. North suburban moqdisho in size of few km. Local clans fighting furiously with alshabaab. Alshabaab with local leaders are negotiating with local tribes. For the south the Burundi soldiers are sorrounded in Kuliyada Jaale siyaad and movement is getting close to airport. Much of the national army soruonded May 13. If this news is true, that means Masar is involving with help of C/qaasin and you may have bigger peace caravan
xiinfaniin Posted May 15, 2009 Aweys, CQasim, Masar? Come again. There is a war no doubt, and your side is losing it.
Kashafa Posted May 15, 2009 ^^ The war is not over. It will take a few more weeks, maybe even months to fully secure the city and dismantle and disband the TFG. Already, all of the TFG MPs from Somaliland and Puntland have fled Mogadisho(what was that saying about rats and sinking ships ?) The Burundi soldiers are surrounded and cut off in Kuliyadda Jalle Siad. Jalle Shariif remains holed up in Villa Somalia wondering when the AC-130s are gonna show up.
