RedSea Posted May 28, 2007 Riyale hasn't visited Burco either, however silaanyo did visit parts of sool.

Very troubling news indeed. I always knew my favourite Somaliland politician is being followed by the "gang". Siilaanyo however, is plotting and plotting. He will set himself free and lead the Somali nation. Thanks Nayruus for the excellent report. Free Siilaanyo!
RedSea Posted May 29, 2007 whoah mr. Libaax. I didn't think you would believe it, though you have that right always. Let us clearify things or remind each other few things here. Silaanyo hails from qabiil just like most of us, his qabiil is considered as one of the most power clans in all of Somaliland, therefore how easily do we forget that as long as you belong into strong clan, ou won't be bothered a bit, on top of that he is former chairman of the SNM. A 'Mujaahid' in his right. I find this report to be nothing more than a personal opinion which in my opinion is nothing basically but misinformed, and misjudged piece by the author, who is relying on few events which in his plight makes a case. just because the man hasn't visited his hometown doesn't mean he is under house arrest. I don't remember Riyaale visiting boroma, or even Burco. If somaliland had intention to place anyone under house arrest, they would have done to sh. cali warsame who visited Muqdisho during the peek of the UIC uprise in southern somalia, then returned to his hometown burco, not suprisingly they both belong into the same qabiil. Lastly, I don't find this report true simply because it's not backed up, nor does it really highlight much evidence outside of personal judgement (just like Nayruus').. Mr. Siilaanyo might be the New president at the begining of '08 folks and here we are talkinga bout him being under house arrest. Little you need to know of how things work in somaliland. Riyaale was voted in mostly by tribes of west burco, his own clan, and clans in western Hargeysa. On the other hand, Silaanyo was backed by his own clan, plus some other sub clan in Somaliland, so no other clan or party has that authority to simply place one under the other through force, to believe such is simply idiotic in my view. 'free silaany'.lol, prrrrety funnnnny wallee. that sign should read 'vote for Silaanyo in '08'. Nayruus thanks for nothing.

How come the leader of the main opposition party does not bother to visit his constituent for more than six years? When you are attempting to comment on this question, wouldn’t it be fair if you adopt the mental status of the SNM gangs that claim that they live in a democracy which the “hired pen” described as the best kept “democracy in Africa”? I mean put yourself in their shoes. Tell me in the history of a democracy where an opposition leader has chosen not to bother to visit outside the country let along his hometown for that long… Compare that with waraabe waaraabe’s travel routes for comparatively similar time.. This is not "waxa la yiri". This is the truth..the man is under house and office arrest . He can not even visit Berbara. I hope this helps you brother web page
N.O.R.F Posted May 29, 2007 ^^ The SNM 'gang' is after him saxib,,,,,,
me Posted May 29, 2007 Well nayruus got a point and its sad to see that some folks are attacking him personally and that they are ignoring the discussion. Focus on the main points people.
N.O.R.F Posted May 29, 2007 Dont really consider them as 'main points' ya Me. Its just the usual stuff about SL political system not being perfect blahdy blah. Acknowledged. Now what else can we focus on? That Siilanyo is under house arrest?
me Posted May 29, 2007 Well if Siilaanyo is under house arrest is his point, then focus on that. If you disagree with him disprove his claims. Its that simple, but don't focus on him personally. Kabiishh?
N.O.R.F Posted May 29, 2007 I would rather focus on his SNM paranoia. Its quite contagious around here you see
me Posted May 29, 2007 Why don't we focus on the closing ranks mentality thats derailing all discussions?
Ms DD Posted May 29, 2007 ^^ Are you sure that is such a good idea? Last time I attempted..you recall what happened!
AYOUB Posted May 29, 2007 I see the paranoid trio are all here. What a family! North I used to think Muj. Silaanyo was the leader of Nayruus' imaginary "SNM gang". Now he tell us he's under house/office arrest. This is better than Sopranos if you ask me.
me Posted May 29, 2007 Eedo now you belong to the paranoid trio, whyyy eeedo, whyyyyy, why did you have to start that thread.
Ms DD Posted May 29, 2007 I didnt know I qualified for such prestige group. However I cant take all the credit. I became this way after the paraniod pair (Ayoub and Stealth) refused to take in any criticism of their beloved homeland/people. But the thing is..I didnt even criticise but gave them generous compliments. How many are from Muqdishu or Bari here? Do they come to each other's rescue when any criticism is directed at their city/region?
