Baashi Posted May 3, 2007 What you know fellas! They have already met once in secret. They will meet again. Where is irrelevent. E-factor is in full force. Uncle Sam wants Somaliland to be treated as a regional autonomy but part of Somalia. It will let Melez work out the details. Inna Yussuf in principle opposes secession. Inna Riyale is in trouble at home and wants his parliament to decide on this question. However you look at it Ethiopians seemed to be the ones who are aclling the shots. Belo ku dagtay. PS: UN upgraded the security status of the recovery zones to state III. The funy thing is it left Sool and Sanaag out. They are not calling as part of the SL or PL. It left those parts as code IV. Very very telling if you ask me!! The reason this is important is that the donors tie their activities to the security of the area under which their staff operate. Treating the recovery zone like the rest of the country means loss of hard currency.
Abwaan Posted May 3, 2007 War bal sug bal Jacalbaro ha xirine... May be he will go there to be tried in a court for murders and killing civilians... for being Maquuste for such a long time, being the man who first started the destruction of Somalia (as he always boasts), for war crimes and being a traitor
Fabregas Posted May 3, 2007 Did Riyaale tell the people what he discussed with Abdullahi Yusuf at Adiss Ababa or is that top secret?
RedSea Posted May 3, 2007 Abdullahi Yusuf is not wanted in Xamar, ma qasabaa jacaylku abtiyaal. Reer Muqdisho and most of Somalis want a way to get rid of this puppet regime. The only place that Abdullahi Yusuf can rule peacefully is Puntland, so people here are getting excited as though there is government in Xamar. Sayid Posted May 3, 2007 Riyale should be re-elected at all costs. Since 346 days till the mock elections are due, there is time to put together some sl paper money and distribute to buy such votes legally to get Riyale back. The two mentained, Silanyo and Warabe, can still play their well versed "Oposition" roles. If either of clan mates will make Somaliland look like a single-clan invested club. Unless Riyale again, the recognition will depart even further along the corner and disappear.

A.J. Posted May 4, 2007 I am personally hoping for ina Meygaag Samatar to throw his hat into the contest. he is a very calm, pragmatic and popular man in political circles and i reckon if he took the UDUB leadership theyd win this election.
Jacaylbaro Posted May 4, 2007 Something will change before the elections ,,,, let's hope for the best
A.J. Posted May 4, 2007 Out of the three previous contendors for the title the most sensible for Somalilanders would be Siilaanyo. he showed his patience and integrity in giving his claim for the presidency in the last election and has consistently shown his commitment to the Somaliland cause. QabiilDiid Posted May 4, 2007 now u are debating...stay in that mood for the rest of your SOL life and always avoid wearing "supersize shoes that doest fit"?
